The best thing about america I think is that its a melting pot, we have everyone here you don't even really need to leave the country to experience other cultures

I think America is closer to a melting pot than a Salad bowel. You should see how blended the classical American culture has become with Mexican culture in some places down here. Since we travel allot I see many towns, and I've seen quite a few that are made entirely in a style straight from Mexican culture.

On top of this African American culture has also begun to fuse with and even consume End-American culture. I suppose that cultures in America tend to melt together, but not in mass scale. Different parts of America are often under more influence by foreign culture and ideology than by what is considered the American culture.

But thank you, lilprince. .

Wikipedia:

In the United States, where the term melting pot is still commonly used, despite being largely disregarded by modern sociologists as outdated, the idea of pluralism has largely replaced the idea of assimilation.[2][3][4] Alternate models where immigrants retain their native cultures such as the 'salad bowl' [5] or the 'symphony'[6] are more often used by prominent sociologists to describe how cultures and ethnicities mix in the United States.

It is still a matter of debate

It depends on the setting as Seraph has said. When you go to a large city like New York, Boston, D.C., etc you can see the division of areas. In New York, there are a plethora of areas like Little Italy, Soho, Chinatown, Little Tokyo and Greenwich Village. Each has a distinct personality that shows each cultures' personal identity. There may be some mixture between cultures but each still has their own distinct sense of self.

Eh I was saying it was a salad bowl. I was stupid and didn't mention it, but I was trying to say that it does depend on the setting.

The diversity of the food.

You can find a Chinese restaurant next to a Viet one next to a burger joint next to a Indian place next to a burrito stand next to a Micky D's next to a coffee shop next to a French restaurant next to a Olive garden. O yea.

LOL, I agree. (-;

My country was the first to ever GUARANTEE its citizens the right to actively and vocally disagree with the government without any fear of government reprisal.

I say "was" because this seems to have become a somewhat conditional freedom these days, unfortunately
