Why is it that in dramas people usually take the long way to solve a problem?

It happens to almost every drama that I watched. I can't provide any examples right now, but im pretty sure of it.

i think that is just the way the dramas are or maybe the characters are just more stupid than we thought they were plus it's the way the writers wrote the storyline, making it longer than it needs to be

The writers should give the characters common sense.
If a guy's head is bleeding because someone hit him with a beer bottle then instead of carrying him on your back *sudden artificial rain* call 119

Well....it gives the viewers more anticipation trying to see if the characters will solve their problems or not. But the most annoying thing would be when the chacracter is dying and all the other character could do is cry. Come.....on...maybe calling 911 is a better idea.

i agree...some scenes are illogical that i sometimes want to throw something at my computer/Tv...such lame scenes...the writers and the directors must learn some logic too

and what the other person mentioned when someone is dying all their friends or family can do is to stare in horror. I would be pissed if I was the dying one. I sometimes wish I could go inside the drama and tell everyone whats going on.

haha, because it's suppose to entertain you.
and in reality it doesn't take one day to solve
problems either, problems takes time to be
taken care of.

but yeah, some scenes are definitely ones
where you throw rocks at! lol

It's a drama, so it has to be dramatic.

That's how they prolong the story... make more episodes.... and hopefully make more money.... Which doesn't work some times as some of the stories turn out to be so draggy or ridiculous...
