Evangelion actually makes sense if you know how to watch the last few episodes and cut out a few episodes. I'll try to come back later once I've remembered the sequence I watched it. The ending came out pretty good once I re-arranged it from the directors stupid crap shizz order that left it a mess.
oh yeah, and I LOATHE Manga Entertainment for stealing Death and Rebirth(do NOT buy it) and End of Evangelion from ADV... asswipes. |

Each character though distinctly different, all have a common quality that binds them all together. They all feel the need to be wanted/accepted/loved (except for Kaji, who knows pretty much has everything figured out in his life). The beauty of Evangelion is not the fights against the angels, but rather the relationships and bonds each character so desperately seek in either a active manner (Misato sleeping with Kaji, or Asuka kissing Shinji) or subtle manner (Gendo's actions, Ritsuko's actions). You can't judge their actions, because they're only looking for that happiness to fill the voids in their hearts. |

However to comprehend some elements to it, you'll need some more maturity to handle it. |

NGE is the deepest anime/mange I've found so far. It's complex and psychologically testing at times. It's the perfect mix between fine literature (like Shakespeare), relegion, and science fiction.

ADV could've waited until after all the movies were out. |

ADV could've waited until after all the movies were out. It's just a guess, though highly probably. Considering ADV is looking for something to hit it big with anime fans (especially some their licenses got suspended), and a good size of those fans out there are Eva fans. So in other words, I guess I'm honored to be nothing but a way for ADV to exploit fan-dom . |
