bicountrial.
that was a word coined by a girl competing on a show called don't forget the lyrics.
she said she wanted to have citizenship in the us and in england.
i really wanted to smack her and tell her it's called having dual citizenship.

it will most definitely expand. because apparently anyone can make up their own words.

I hate the English language. It doesn't interest me. Yet, I have As in Language Arts. It's already spread out throughout most parts of the world so what's the point of saying it'll grow?

I think that even though China's (and India's) economies are growing really fast and we'll all have to learn Mandarin to conduct business, it will be at least a decade before China reaches a similar status to that of the US (at the height of its power) and previously, Britain.

So I think in that time, English will continue to be used as the lingua franca of the world. After that, who knows? But because of such a long history enjoyed by the English language, the number of works written in or translated to English top any other language used in the world.. simply because if you want to sell anything, nationally or internationally, English will always help you do that and it is guaranteed to find its way to a large enough audience.

It will continue to grow, eventually. People will have to keep learning it.

It's an ugly language, and the rules are so unreasonable that it is an unnecessary language to perfect.
