I treat them same as anyone else. Of course, sometimes you have to treat them with a little more TLC because of their disability (I was friends with a mentally disabled girl, so I was more understanding with her when she got upset over things that I was with other people), but for the most part, I treat 'em like anyone else. For the most part, they're usually very nice.

Of course, I do happen to know this guy in a wheelchair, who hacked into my computer, constantly tries makes fun of me, and talks garbage about me when I barely know him. Sometimes...I feel like beating him over the head with his own wheelchair >_<

I respect them for going on with there life. =\ Some people can't even handle living even though they are all fine yet these disabled people continue to live.

I think that God created disabled people to show the others (normal and healthy people) how lucky we are to have all our limbs, and not to be dependant on others.

So, if you're disabled you're not "normal"? And your God makes people suffer so that other people can feel better? How does he choose who gets to feel better and who has to be disabled? Either way thats a fucked up way of looking at things.

I read this aloud to my sister, and she says, "Fuck your God then. I don't need a God who did this to me on purpose just so that it can make some other asshole feel 'normal.' What did I ever do in my short 13 years that he decided that I wasn't good enough to be 'normal' and that my only purpose was to make others feel 'lucky?' Fuck that and fuck you."

I'm sorry that post was offensive. Actually, you have a correct point in what you said. I wanted to explain something but I just couldn't put it in the right words...please forgive my stupidity.

To me, disabled people are also normal. They too, want a life like us, to be happy, and all. What I just wanted to point out is that well, God didn't make some people suffer so that the rest could feel normal...but I can't explain it.....aarrgh....now I'm frustrated. In my opinion, disabled people are normal too. In fact, I respect them.

I'm sorry I caused so much trouble. Well, I admit that I'm really really stupid sometimes. And I admit that my post was really stupid and offensive. I should get my thoughts into the right words, I will delete/edit that post as soon as I can.

I'd really like to apologise to you and your sister for this. I'm really sorry. Please accept my apologies.

I have encountered patients who are disabled, and during our talks, I actually am inspired by them. I totally respect these individuals because despite their disability, they are stronger than most people I encounter on a day-to-day basis.

i rarely see any , but if i do , i'm like i wish they will live a happy life and it's awesome how like they're not annoying like some people who's not disabled . i always wanted a friend that's disabled or anything of that sort after i read one of the chicken soup book . those books are just so awesome and some stories make you cry .
