BoA made her US debut with the digital single "Eat You Up," garnering a positive response from the online community.

At 3 a.m. on October 22nd, "Eat You Up" ranked third on the iTunes chart for "Top Dance Songs," tenth on Amazon's "Hot New Release in MP3 Downloads" and 21st on their "Today's Top MP3 Songs" chart. Consumers gave "Eat You Up" a five-star review on the Amazon website.

According to BoA's agents at SM Entertainment, US netizens commented that her song was addictive and makes people want to dance.

Even Variety, a US entertainment magazine, wrote an article about BoA and her debut, referring to her as "one of the best female artists in Asia."

"Eat You Up" was released online in Korea and Japan on October 22nd. SM Entertainment is planning on releasing the digital single to approximately 30 countries through 300 online sites.

BoA's debut single album will be available in November.

Both of BoA's music videos are out. From what I have heard, there has been a change of plans of the MV debuting in America. They are now using MV 2 for America because of the bad reviews from fans of MV 1.

DBSK - New video

Dong Bang Shin Ki has released a new music video, named Wrong Number. The boys' dance steps are very crisp and clean in the video and Jae Joong raps for the very first time. The basic idea of the song is that the boys are in love with a girl and she loves them back, but she questions them too much. She's calling them and asking about there whereabouts and they are sick of it. and the song basically goes like that.

DBSK - New song

DBSK's new song, Sarangauljima 사랑아 울지마 (Don't Cry My Love) is a ballad. It's 4:43 long. And was composed by Jae Joon, who also wrote the lyrics to it. In my opinion, he did a good job. There's no official video for it, but this youtube video has the full song and English subtitles.

SM Entertainment is holding a weekly audition. They’re holding this weekly audition every Saturday from 3pm to 7pm! To apply will only be available through 3pm to 7pm.

The good part about this audition is… anyone could audition. They don’t care what race, age or gender you are. Just as long as you show up.

Date & Time: Every Saturday at 3pm-7pm

Location: 4322 Wilshire Blvd Suite 300, Los Angeles, CA 90010

Here’s more stuff to help you out…


DON’T wear heavy make up!

They prefer that you wear your casual clothes, but not the ones you usually wear at home

You’re going to have to start practicing after reading this… now!

If you’re auditioning for singing, sing a song that you know how to sing really good… it doesn’t have to be in Korean.

You may bring an instrument when you audition, there will be no mic, and sing really loud.

If you’re planning to sing, you should try auditioning for dancing too.

Sadly if you’re only auditioning for dancing, they’ll ask for you to sing.

If you can speak any other language like Chinese, Japanese, French… they’ll love it.

on the audition

Try registering first. If you walk in to register, it’ll take longer.

You’re going to have to fill out two more registration form when you enter.

You’re forced to wait until they call you.

There is usually two judges and one person filming

If you are planning to model
Make 3 poses at the camera, NOT the judge!

If you are planning to act
Go ahead and show your acting skills.

If you are planning to dance.
Go ahead and show them your moves. you’re going to bring your own CD. Give it to them on the registration desk, if you don’t, they’ll give you a random music and you’ll have to dance to it.

If you are singing
Sing out loud. Look at the camera and sometimes at the judge.

If you are a song writer
Give them your demo CD and leave… unless you are trying out for something else.

The judges are supposed to be nice. They’ll greet and shake hands.

You will know your result in about 3 weeks. If they don’t… a rejection letter will come. Sometimes they’ll call Back within one day to two weeks. They usually want you to go back and sing or model for them. It still doesn’t mean you’re in.

DBSK

The night of November 15th, 2008 was a great night for Dong Bang Shin Ki. They had won the award for Album of the Year at the MKMF - Music Festival. Their album Mirotic was the best album in Korea. Below is their acceptance speech.

Mirotic deemed inappropriate for kids under 19 in Korea

DBSK's 4th album was put under the 19 year age banned by the Youth Safety Association on November, however SM.ENT will starting next week file a legal case against this to the Justice Court/ District Court.

DBSK's Management SM Entertainment (SM), quoted by Money Today's Star New : " We will go through administrative measures against the suspension by filing a case next week to the District Court" "We have been getting ready for this legal case on the 2nd"

GBAs - DBSK

The Golden Disk Awards was held on December 10th. DBSK won the grand prize at the awards. Their album Mirotic was sold the most in all of Korea.
