New technology will bring about new innovations...

If games were to disappear it would likely be because of some kind of catastrophic event that drastically reduces the quality of life and leave people with little or no free time or the resources to make/play games.

We should worry because people have already run out of idea's for movies, which is why you see the same concepts repeated over and over, and in stories the same concepts are repeated over and over, until a certain era when somebody finally decides its time to burn the box and piss on it.

But the very nature of stories is to be repeated and modified for the audience. For example Biblical stories get remade and borrowed from all the time (and they themselves are adaptions of even older stories)

A more pertinent example is anime, you constantly see the same (or similar) types of locations, characters, technologies, stories, gags and plot devices being used.

Ugh! it's hard to say on one end yeah it's easy to say that games will always b around cause game makers will just remake the same games over and over again...................BUT!!!! then again no one can predict the future, so u'll just have to wait and see.......if ur still alive that is.

it better not... cuz i got really good idea about the future of gaming, i just cant wait till i grow up

Eh, the possiblities of different games can push the limits much more than a novel or movie can. I really can't see the video game market ending anytime soon.
