loved Never Ending Wonderful Story :]
they're crying and acting emotional because it's they're "comeback" concert after they were put on a hiatus.

Dreams in itself is an emotional song if you listen to the lyrics.

But what made NEWS cry was because that was their first concert after their suspension. They performed their first concert at the same venue as the one they performed their last concert at. It's quite symbolic.

If you read their articles, the members were often sad and cried during the suspension because they didn't know if NEWS would come back. They thought they would be separated and will now have to focus on solo projects. (Yamapi always told them that NEWS will be back but I guess he has more confidence than the rest of the members).

Dreams (a song about their suspension), Yume no Kazu (a song about their suspended members, Uchi and Kusano) and Hoshi wo Mezashite (a song of NEWS come-back) are the 3 songs in which you'll see the more sad side of NEWS. Massu cried during Hoshi wo Mezashite in the Pacific DVD and all the members were pretty emo during Yume no Kazo....an emotional ending to the first disc of the DVD.

Every time I watch that video my eyes well up with tears. Some people think that the song is sad when in fact it is uplifting. They were touched not only by the song and being able to perform together in that venue again but by the crowd's cheering. It didn't help their emotional state when Ryo substituted NewS for Dreams during his part making the crowd scream even more. I imagine they were a little afraid the fans wouldn't accept them so readily as NewS without the missing members and feeling all that love pouring out of the crowd would make anyone emotional.
