its really weird sometimes why such thing should be discussed. maybe too curious of others opinion? this kind of things seem just to make people reason out but in the end there are still division between people who like singlish who don't like and who don't care. what can we do if some people really hate it. we can't literally make them go back to their mother's womb and be born again and teach them to love what they hated.

maybe just got nothing better to do so they give that kind of lame speeches

i agree that Singlish is unique to us, but it's still unnerving how its being used everywhere.
it really takes a toll on communication sometimes..
and before anyone says anything, yes, i've been mocked/insulted by others who think i'm acting stuck up just because i dont use singlish(its rare for me to).
but i was brought up in a family that speaks malay and/or english.
there wasnt really room for singlish until halfway through primary school i guess.
i'm not saying its bad, its just not my thing. D:

haha. yes. family upbringing plays a big part in such things. yupps. i dont fancy singlish either. but sometimes i still use it. cutting down on it (: i prefer english. =)

不知道,也不想管那么多! 反正通常我都是在说华语比较多!
Dun know and dun really care! Anyway i speak mandarin often rather than english or singlish!

LOL same..my friends talk to me in english and i talk to them in mandarin haha although i try to talk in english sometimes..but i will slowly revert back to mandarin haha
