I've read some parts of azumanga and I don't think it's targeted at an 18+ age group at all. This argument made me lol BTW Azumanga Daioh could pass for a seinen (like K-ON), not all seinen are totally inappropriete. But Dendeki Daioh is shonen so you're right K I'll shut up now

It certainly has the trademark visual cues of shoujo manga, and so does all of his work really. I love his style, it's retro and fantastic with incredible detail and inking.
