Shoujo is drawn pretty nicely? Okay if they have eyes the size of textbooks than yes, it is ugly. Have you ever looked at the stereotypical yaoi/shounen-ai artwork? EEEW!!! Come on now, be more original than V chins...

I wouldn't say drawn worse, but they always seem to have the wirey hair and focus more on the face and less on anything else, which, frankly, annoys the crap out of me.

Some are drawn poorly while others are as great as we would love to expect from a manga. The same goes for those drawn in the shounen genre. Also, the perspective of what is drawn poorly and what is not depends entirely on the person viewing it.

It's a seinen manga that's trying to portray a historical character. It definitely gives a more "realistic feel" to it. With that said, shoujo mangas are not less well drawn. They tend to take away from the environment and add more details to the characters(mostly facial). It's only logical since shoujo mangas focus on relationships rather than adventures/fighting/fanservice. |

Mmm, I thought vagabond's are was amazing, I feel the same about mushishi, just because it dosn't follow the social standards, dosn't mean it's poor. |

some are badly drawn, like the lines are messy...but other are definitely well drawn.
There are some shonen that are badly drawn too. I don't think the genre dictates the art. It's the artist. |
