Do you think shoujo mangas are badly drawn?
|
Yes, the bad ones.

The art from series like Tokyo Mew Mew or Gentlemen's Alliance or Boku Kimi is like your typical, large eyed shoujo. And those types of un-anatomically correct series are what I consider badly drawn. But other shoujo series like Amatsuki is what I consider drawn good. (And Amatsuki is BEAUTIFUL. )

I find that most of them look the same, well, You can see some differences but I find they all look very similar to each other.
But it depends on the art and drawings, some are just bad and some are actually well drawn. |

A work intended and primarily written for females. Usually involves a lot of romance and strong character development. - Um...yeah, there are A LOT of badly drawn manga. So, so, so many -- that's why it's getting harder for me to get into much shoujo. |

Not "badly drawn", but a lot of them are drawn in a style I don't like.
Same with the ultra-macho seinen and shounen. I like moe, not gritty. If I wanted gritty, I'd watch American cartoons. |

If I wanted gritty, I'd watch American cartoons. Which American cartoons would you consider "gritty"? The vast majority of anything animated is going to be for children/tweens/teens. Maybe a show like the Maxx or Spawn or...metalocalypse...oh well...you said it wasn't the type of show you watched anyway. My point being I think there is a lot more in terms of "grit" in Japanese anime/manga. Oh yeah, vagabond is so not shojo, great art style though... I think a lot of shojo is pretty similar looking, but maybe I'm just biased. (Well I am, and I think it looks stupid) |

Read your posts out loud before you subject the world to them

the feeling of attachment towards the characters of a drama you just finished:'(

Some are drawn well, some aren't. Most of the guys look like chicks or intensely feminine in Shoujo manga and their eyes take up like half their face.

Don't use CR often

Nah I don't think so haha...it's as good as any other kinds. I like reading shoujo mangas and some drawings are just amazing ^^
