Apparently everyone comes from different backrounds and stuff and when they debate, especially internationally like the internet, they always get confused at their opponent. Like "how did you come up with that" and "that's not how I learned" and give sufficient backup if they're smart. So what I want to know is when you're on extended discussion and you discuss stuff like religion and the end of the world, what runs through your mind and how does your mind usually work? I made this so people can show who they are so others might understand them.

it depends really, every person is different, it would be nice if everybody could discuss without going at each others throat, my mentality is like this, every person can be right, every person can be wrong, just because i think something is right does not mean that it is, before i judge something i have to know more about it, from different points of view to different interpretations, what i try to do is try be open to everyone's opinion, i try to think "outside the box" and not try to change someone's opinion forcefully.

i try to be accommodating of different opinions, and also take the side which i feel is correct morally.

with me I try to understand another person's views and respect them when they differ from mine because I can't force them to think my way and for all I know I could be wrong. whenever I enter a discussion I argue whichever view point I feel like and discuss for amusement instead of proving I'm right about anything.

i set my mind into thinking we all have different insights that might've been products of our individual experiences or personal learnings, so i try to be open-minded...i try not to overly assert my vindication because i know lots of people here are a thousand times more knowledgeable than i am...but as much as i can, i also try to express my own thoughts and insights about a certain issue, hoping that would somehow shed some light...

misspelling also makes people think you are dumb

OT: I try to guess how people will flame me

Trust me, I'm a lazy ass bastard. When I'm on the internet all I care about is the point I'm trying to get across. Not my grammar. I didn't expect this topic to live long anyways, half the topics you see on page 1 is about religion or atheism.

What goes through my mind when I write topics that are debatable is to write what I feel is right. I have always loved to debate and I have always loved to tell people what I think is right. Though I do like to know what others like as well. I use my belief's in my topics a lot! Because my belief's help me think. It helps me argue my point.

Well, I come up with a different point of view or two.
When someone say, "Jesus," I could mention, "How about Matrix?"

However, I'm not this type of person like whatever new thread appears, I'll just flaunt my intellect and be know-it-all.
No.

I pick my own battles.
- I'm weak on politics, so I mostly not going to post on such threads that deal with politics. I'll visit those threads just to read & learn stuff.
- Same goes about computer talks. Threads like PC vs. Mac vs. Linux or Photoshop, you'll see me rather asking people how thing works and what programs are good to use.
- Regarding about religion, I participate with minimal effort. There are people here that have strong beliefs even how much logic or facts you present to them. They just don't budge like you're actually talking to a wall.
Thus, there are people that are totally similar and quirky like Ned Flanders from the Simpsons.

yea. That's whatsome. And, that's how he rolls in the forums.
My posts might be naughty or dirty [a little], but I don't intentionally curse that could really hurt someone. [you'll barely see curse at all anyway]. ^_^
I leave smileys on my posts, like this one , to show that I'm just joking around or being friendly.
