I personally find it hard to believe that Saiyuki is shounen. I've been to a few hundred Japanese websites & came to the conclusion that even in Japan there's no male following of it. The guys in my adult anime club think it's too "gay." I can't find anything on whether Gokusen is shounen or shoujo, but all the guys in the seires are morons & the girl always has to save the guy (Princess Shin & his lady night). then again, anything is possible. I deciced that after I found out that a married man with 2 kids wrote 80+ volumes of Patalliro. Slayers seems shoujo too, butI guess since it's a Dungeons & Dragons series.....

What are your favorite shoujo series? (Cho Gals) What about series you though you'd hate that aren't really your style, but you just couldn't stop watching them? (Marmalade Boy & Peach Girl).

I grew up watching it, I grew up reading it, I grew up practically worshipping Sanzo every 6pm on AXN weekdays, before AXN stopped showing any animes whatsoever!!!!

Since then, of course I read and love plenty of shoujo, but at the same time, i will always love those shounen animes. That's where I started =D

Well Im not a girl but thought I would say that 100% strawberry was NOT a shonen no matter what the publishers say

Death Note and Claymore are my personal favorites, not just out of shounens, but all of all the mangas I've read.

I like Bleach, Naruto, Hikaru no Go, FMA (I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of it right now...). I've read Death Note, GIntama, and a bunch of other stuff too though.

definitely the epic anime Rurouni Kenshin.. and umm.. Naruto, Bleach (yeah i know), Claymore, Death Note, Yuyu Hakusho (classic).. cant think of anymore right now..

I loveddd Rurouni Kenshin! It was the manga that got me hooked to mangas and Japanese culture x] Black Cat's another favorite...I'm currently reading Naruto (not sure if I'll put it in my fav. list yet) I used to love FMA, but then I stopped in the middle of it and never went back to it. I tried Onepiece, but the humor and the drawing style's not to my taste. *prepares to hide from avid Onepiece and Fairytail fans*
