There is the saying:

Nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

although it could be impossible to suggest there are absolute good and bad things no matter what i think we need to recognise things that should be good or bad independant of individual opinion like murder is bad
things that are good and bad in general though tend to be agreed on by most e.g
stealing is bad (even if there is good reason)
eating is good (to a certain extent)
which brings me onto my next suggestion. Good and bad things are as they are to a certain extent or because they are intrinsically like murder is intrinsically wrong it is a bad act in itself and like helping someone can be good but if u do it for a bad reason then helping someone is intrinsically good but u have destroyed the goodness through ur bad intentions
blah blah blah

good or bad its in humman nature... we cant deny that fact anyway........... i see good or bad through my religon... simply cuz it covers it up all.

it depends on the individual i guess what determines what's good or bad. like the young lady above me said, what was instilled in me about moral attitudes & etc. came from religion & common sense along with it.

I think good and bad are only personal opinions, what you decide for yourself is good and what is bad, is all that matters, if what you think is good someone else thinks is bad, shouldn't effect you, you should do it anyway because to you its good. You shouldn't allow religion or anything else set your morals for you, you should decide your own morals for yourself, and you should stick to them.

Uh no anyone who even attempts to argue that good and bad do not exist needs a serious reality check. Ethic war in Africa where thousands of defenseless civilians are murdered because they live in the wrong town. You are going to have a very very hard time finding a person who thinks that that is a "good" thing. Even the psycho power mad Dictator that gave the order knows it is a "bad" thing though, they just don't care and that isn't the same. Likewise you will find it rather hard to find a person who thinks it is "bad" to walk into a store, buy a lottery ticket, and find out "Wow I won 100 dollars!". Or someone who can argue that it is a "bad" thing to hold a door open for a senior citizen who is walking into a building.

See there are shades of gray in this world. But people forget black and white are shades of gray too.

What you people are talking about is psychosis,. or psychotic behavior. You see a classic psychotic is not someone who does not understand or appreciate right and wrong, they are someone doesn't have a conscience. They know serial rape or murder is wrong, they just don't care.
