I actually hate dates! I think they're the worst way to start off a relationship. You act well behaved and hide what you think they don't want to see. It's all a game and a charade. I'd rather hang out in a big group of people or just hang out. You put the word 'date' on it and I'm instantly freaking out and trying to put on my 'nice' personality for the evening. Bleh!

I'm not going to plan out my dream date for you, but I will give you my favorite date experiences. I'll give you two in fact. Both involve the same girl, we dated very close to 4 years. (I like reminiscing about young love)

The first was around our 6 month mark. We went to a local hot spot, we got some food, saw a movie. As we were walking back to my car, it started to rain. I remember us smiling and instead of running faster we walked slower and just enjoyed each other and the warm summer rain. We danced a little and had a very passionate kiss in the rain. The date it self was not memorable I don't even remember the movie we saw, but I'll never forget my first passionate kiss in the rain. The point? The best dates are the ones you don't plan. Life can take you more exciting places than a plan ever will.

My second was about 3 years in. I was able to get a free trip all around Europe (long story), so me and her talked it over and we split the cost of her to come as well. (a little over 2k per person for her to come) Well during our last country stop Scotland we stayed at a local hostel a little north of Edinburgh. Our first night we arrived we got unpacked had a few drinks, just unwinding from our long train ride from London. We see the sun is going to set soon, so we take off together to explore a little before its dark. It was cloudy and rainy as per Scotlands 100% weather forecast, we walk around for about half a hour, and we eventually hit the sea. As we were sitting on the pathway where no one was in sight we just talked and watched as the sea would come in and out. As the sun was almost settled, and with the clouds parting showing the stars above I took her hand and we slow danced for about 10 minutes. The sea coming in and out, the sun setting the mood, and the stars just really made it something special.

My two favorite "dates" or love experiences were both random acts of spontaneity. Find something you think would be fun to do, and go from there. Don't over plan, that's not as fun

Well this might not be exactly what some people had in mind but this is my favorite date that i had with my ex. Ramen noodles, watching some horrible horror movie on netflix, laughing about how bad the effects were, playing halo, and cuddling while listening to Brand New. I don´t know I just feel like it was just perfect c:
