well girls usually just use "watashi" or "atashi" but rarely "boku" since it is considered very polite, guys on the other hand often use "Ore" which is rude when speaking formally so they use "Boku" or "Watashi" to sound polite

Guys dont really use Watashi unless they are trying to be super polite, or they are gay. Girls wont use boku unless they are tomboys at a high level lol

Please change your avatar, since molesting is against the laws and that avatar is inaproparate (i do not know how it's spelled) and i'd really not waste my time reporting your Avatar.

and on topic, as all the other ones has said in this thread, i think you have gotten your answer^^

watashi and boku means me or I... watashi is the formal way to say it. Boku is informal and used with boys, it's like an aggressive me or I. Girls that use it shows an aggressive me or I as well.

watashi is I in japanese and is used in basic learning of japanese and is formal

atashi is used but it is informal and used between friends (by girls)

boku is still appropriate for guys to say with older people and mostly used by guys

ore is informal and not to be used with other than close frens and usually only between guys

girls who used ore is not an appropriate things to do
like how in hana kimi that nakatsu point out that even ashiya is discovered to be girls and still saying ore which is a weird thing to say for girls
