duplicate the manga layer put it one on soft light
make sure its on RBG color

make a new layer call it skinbase put it on Multiply
pick a skin tone you like and color the skin to get this


make a new layer call it clothesbase put it on Multiply
pick the color or colors you like and color it to get this


make a new layer call it hairbase put it on Multiply
pick the color and color to get this


make a new layer call it eyesbase put it on Multiply
pick the color you like and color to get this


make a new layer for anything left over call it what you want to
put it on Multiply and pick th color you want color it and get this


make a new layer call it skintop put it on screen
pick a color if its to bright take down the opacity till you like it
use the blur tool till it looks natural
to get this


make a new layer call it clothestop put it on screen
pick a color if its to bright take down the opacity till you like it
use the blur tool till it looks natural

make a new layer call it hairtop put it on screen
pick a color if its to bright take down the opacity till you like it

you don't have to do this but you can press Ctrl+Shift+e
to put all layers into one only do this if you cut out the image like I did
put an image behind it put your copyright on it and you are done and get this

Nice tutorial but usually for images that are dominantly grey, I always make lineart to get the best out of the colors. It take a couple hours, but it gets good results.

i think i got a good tutorial for manga colouring but i didnt get some parts

but i kinda didn't follow all your steps i followed the first one and then the last one lol

mine was a easy scan but i think it turned out pretty good for my first scan, but i think mine was a bit more time comsuming it took me probably a couple hrs i coloured in everythin myself using the paint bucket and the air brush, then fixed it up a bit using saturation and unsharpen mask filter
