There she met a creature named Jed.
His a demon of some sort.
Ugly looking, tall horns and a half snake.
He is said to be in a curse that only a white stone, called Tleh can put him back to his normal [good looking] self.

Rhen, of course being the good natured girl she is, decided to help him.
Jed warned her to not get to close to him, in other words fall in love, for he will never return that feeling to her.
They made an agreement, and began to set off towards the highest temple, which lays in the peak of Mt. Fuji
