Manga is hardly done... Now if you're going to ask how the anime is going to end... Well my guess is it will go for an open ended original.

i don't think it will end. as in the there may be just 13 episodes, but by the end of that there is no solid conclusion...maybe just the end of the first chapter of natsume yuujinchou  hope there's season 2 or sth |

I think the anime will end the same way Nodame Cantabile season one ended. A very beautiful open ending... though I don't want the anime to end am looking forward to what kind of ending it will be.
The whole story is beautiful, very unique and heart warming. I bet the manga will have an ending that will stay burned in our heads for a very long time. I think it will be a very beautiful ending.

Perhaps it plans to end in according to the seasons? The manga does follow seasons, its I guess the closest thing to a chronological ordering of chapters, so my guess is this will end with summer through an original episode.

the anime is kinda slow even though it's like one story/ one name per ep. Well it's like a breather for me away from all the fighting and romance anime and watch this relaxing one. There probably will be a season two plot-wise ... but then again if it's not popular enough there might not be one.

I get the feeling something bad will happen in the end, but not like the main character will die or so. But if there is a second season then the ending will be probably open-ended...

the way its been going i dont think anybody could predict the ending, i can guess and say he helps someone but that happens in every episode. i like natsume ;p

every ep is a diff thing,but i cant help to luv this show...well,there isnt really a solid plot in this..so the ending wldnt conclude things...

pray for a good ending people.......i wish that the ending is that he will be accepted of who and what he is and become popular! not popular in a bad way(there is) but in a good way. he also saw the spirit of reiko and his beloved parents. he's no more lonely then..... end credits: he gets a super cute and beautiful girlfriend! just kidding! just let him be with tanuma....okay, just kidding again =3 seriously....

yeah I don't mind watching him as he grows till he becomes a grandfather and tells all his grand children about the youkai and his stories, by then we will be grannies too and reminsce along with Natsume the good old days. Oh maybe nyanko sensei will meet his destined one and have cut little cats too!

I know everybody here's hoping for a happy ending (and to tell the truth so am I) but there 'is' still a chance it could have an ending similar to Death Note...
As in the ending was implied at the beginning. So, all I'm saying is there's still a chance that at some point Takashi meets a yokai that kills him and Madara actually gets the Book of Friends.
...yeah, I'd prefer the happy ending thank you. At least Takashi isn't an anti-hero like Light was, so there's hope. The ending I'd actually prefer is that Takashi actually finishes giving the names back but Madara grows to like Takashi, so he still sticks around. Oh, and several other yokai are still his friends, even without the "Book of Friends". |
