Ichigo is technically half shinigami half human and still has to use the shinigami crest thing to turn into a shinigami so if he dies in his human body his soul will go to soul society but if he dies in shinigami form his soul dies completely but from the looks of things due to his hollowfication dying seems to turn him into a real hollow for a few minutes till he completely regenerates. Just some thoughts.

But what about when ichi was fightin bya-kun? Didn't the hollow ichi say he'd be in trouble if ichigo died? But besides that he would become an arrancar/hollow. (I would kno)

there would be this huge dramatic episode about rukia and orihmes feelings and then they would go to the souls sosiety and try to find him then he become a shinigami captain

He would appear somewhere in Rukongai, with most of his memories ERASED. A beginning of a brand new life.
[EDIT]
If he were to die in his shinigami form, his ghost would DISAPPEAR. That's right: when a soul dies, there's no coming back.

dies as a human or as a shinigami?
if he dies as a human [I mean, if his body dies] he'll coninue his life as a shinigami.
and if he dies as a shinigami then, he'll just disappear like other shinigami-s do. [ but, wait.. what's with a hollow? he'll probably die too..]
