I think it's difficult for Asians to break into and make it big in Hollywood and the Western entertainment industries, so if they want to be famous, they head back to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

I agree, they are always stereotyped. That's why even Bruce Lee couldn't make it in Hollywood, and when he finally got the recognition he deserved, he was gone. Now, unfortunately, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li, the bigger Asian stars, have added to the typecasting. I think for the Asian stars born in other countries, or who grew up in other countries, it adds to their hype. Its like with anyone you know who was born and raised somewhere far from what would have been homeland.

True that.....
It's not like people in the mainstream will be able to recognize an Asian celebrity and go with it. It's sad, even though most of us Asians can worship some Western celebs.

And so, we thank all of them for returning to us. =D
What would we do without????

What about Gong Li? After Miami Vice, Geisha, and there's more movies coming out with her, she's pretty popular... and Zhang Zhiyi....
