I'm not too sure. Sometimes memorising interesting stuff is rather fun and slowly analyzing problems and solving them is a chore....

Analysis. Because for me, analyzing stuff is way easier and are easily remembered than memorizing things.

Chromosomes=reproduction=sex=awesome. How can you criticize something so wonderful?

Anyway, I don't see how you can choose between the two when they aren't mutually exclusive. You can analyze something to help you memorize it, and some things can't really be analyzed but can be memorized, like who was the leader of a certain nation during a certain time period.

Also, just because the topic is about different ways of learning doesn't make it E.D material.

I prefer to analyze stuff because it helps me actually understand what I'm doing. Memorizing stuff is for whatever I don't plan on retaining in my memory.

Preferably, I do a bit on analyzing first to get used to the idea about how something works, even in books and what not. It works well so I can connect to the topic I need to learn about, and if it interests me, I start memorizing it even more.

Forcing memorization against myself just defeats my purpose in learning. There's no point in trying to memorize something without being able to analyze or dissect what you just learned. Unless you are paid to memorize a lot of things, well good luck and have fun.

This is all in academics of course. Physically however (You didn't specify anyway, so I'll go a little broader) a body has a better chance of memorizing a movement in a correct form efficiently, then analyze why. It seems to work for me since I'm trying sports I haven't done in a while. It helps to have a little bit of both to pull off certain moves.

Analyzing things and putting it into practice or application, can yield memorization in the long run. It is called classical conditioning. Refer to Ivan Pavlov's study on stimulus generation, how it is formed and the habits that brought forth with his study.

analyzation of course. I have tried memorization( a total memorization), and it's dumb. However, sometimes you need to memorize (a bit).
