No one can tell.

Of course, it'd really help if the kid and the parent develop a harmonious relationship between each other. It'd strengthen the family's relationship, and of course would help the child in a way that the parent could give tips and opinions at times that the child is troubled. In the part of the child, it'd also be much easier for him/her to you know, consult their parents But when the child reaches adolescence stage, the relationship between the child and the parent is most likely going to be.. unpleasant o_0 DUE to the different changes that the adolescent would encounter. Usually, they would tend to break away from their parents and spend more time with their friends..

NO. They'll just think they're always right.
That's why I'm not on good terms with my mom right now.

Yes and no.
First and foremost they should be rolemodels - but being able to talk to your parents like you would your friends is not a bad thing either. As long as it doesn't take priority over raising your child.

my mom has created a policy that i have embeded into my head XD
"i. am. not. your. friend."
i'm fine with that and i agree, she's older than me and i look to her for instructions and lessons (man, that sounded generic)
i mean, i don't want to be talking about friend stuff with her. it would be too weird.

actually yes for me
well for me me my parent are like close friend considering the fact that my parent only 11 year older than me we get along well and they not strict with me or any of my siblings I don't really find anything wrong with being close to ur parent

To an extent yeah. Your parents still have to discipline you & not let you get away with things that will affect you greatly. I've seen that a lot from people I know & on television. Maybe once you're an adult, you can without many restrictions.
