art i'd say,the composer puts all his heart and soul into composing that song and the person playing that peice of music feels the soul and heart of the composer and plays it together with the soul and heart of the composer alongside his own feelings.and that's why i think and know that music is a peice of art.(hey, the tv says that music is a peice of art too~)

for me i think music is an art. Cause music needed creativity and music is so lively and not fixed. Science is all about formula but music not.

i have always blelieved it to be an art, because of the way it affects me. science is for the mind, but art touched the soul, and to me that is what music does. ^^

It's shit..Oh..wait...out of the choices?

Lol I kid, I see music as more of an art than a science, it can be an expression of the singers feeling or current emotions as music comes in various different forms emphasizing various different moods...Like art.

Its science when it works, and its also art when the 'product' is something we like, so i would put it as a fusion of both music and art.

i am an artist and i get a tremendous amount of inspiration from music alone, so i say 100% pure art.

its an art XP ............cause like science has no relation whatsoever with music unless..they do those weird experments when you see which plant or animal has an effect with like hip-hip to like classical music O_O ...

I think it's up to you to determine if it's both, neither or one of those...because music can become so many different things...how else do you think those people came up with those quotes? because they had different perspectives of the same thing and therefore, music can become what you make of it..

I'd take it as art.

It expresses feelings and emotions.

It could inspire you to create something beautiful.

Music is freaking awesome...

when it comes down to music theory, there is definitely some math involved. Quarter beats, eight beats, etc.; I guess that would be the "scientific" part of music. But I think music is generally looked at as "art" by majority of the people, including myself. For example, there is a composer (I forgot his name) that composed a song with no beats, no notes...nothing. He had his little stick, his music sheet, an orchestra carrying their instruments, yet they played nothing. This composer considered this silence music. He showed that it isn't about the notes and the number of beats you have follow or the key signature, but really the emotions displayed through the songs, and the meaning behind it.
