All Xmas is BAH HUMBUG btw...despite the build up is this:

5am: wake up to find Santa still hasn't been...
6am: spent the last hour trying to go to sleep again
7am: finally my stocking is filled up, start opening presents
8am: Go downstairs, presents everywhere AWESOME
9am: rest of family come downstairs looking like hell and start opening their presents, you worry what you got them isn't cool!
10am: the rest of the family come and your grandparents want to know every single detail about every one of your presents and tell you what yours is before you even open it.
11am: Granpa wants to watch the old version of Christmas Carrol...you despise it...but put on a happy face!
11:30am: arguments start about the big ass bird which nobody even likes
12pm: Your sick of old people crap on the telly and sneak out to play your new games ...Mother calls you back down after you've just gotten to a really exciting bit...forgot to save the game DAMN IT!
3pm: Dinner time! Crackers and all that...pulling out the jokes...great...Grandma thinks it's hilarious.
4pm: Your cousin's are done eating and decide to play with YOUR presents.
5pm: Finally something good is on the telly...BUT NO the old folks are back again...now we have to sit through the Sound of gay Music!
10pm: sound of music has finished LMAO and everyone's half dead on the sofa. Ahh bit of MSN now...talking to your buddies...X-Box Live...PS3...lovely.

and there we have Christmas all wrapped up as it were.

We celebrate Christmas by putting up a tree, buying things for each other, having dinner together, and having my uncle&cousins come from Northern CA.

It's great... I love Christmas time(:

In my family we put up a Christmas tree and hang decorations around the house. We usually do this sometime in December.

If we remember, we put out the Advent candles - but usually when we remember to actually put them out, we forget to light them anyways. But yeah.

But we don't usually put the tree up until mid-December.

On Christmas Eve, my parents and I go to Mass - recently I've been singing at the youth mass which is usually at 9pm and we open our presents in the evening - we've been doing that for a couple of years now.

My mum also makes herring salad (a German/Danish cuisine). That's because my dad's German. It's actually very nice - here's a picture of the one we had last year:

(Ignore the date on the pic, it's wrong)

We usually have that on Christmas Day and a dessert of some kind.

Last year we had trifle:

Both the herring salad and trifle are very nice - I recommend both of them.

We don't usually do anything with the rest of the family - but that's because all my dad's family is in Germany and the majority of my mum's family live interstate.

And apart from that, we just relax and enjoy the holidays.
