They were really good, I never heard of this type of poetry before, but I really like it
Thanks for posting this

I'm glad you enjoyed them whiteblackness. which videos did you watch? and of the ones that you did... which one did you like the most? feel free to elaborate on whatever video you like. this is as much of a discussion about the 10 performances that i've posted as it is an introduction to Spoken Word.

i watched pretty much all of them but i liked " Revolution" and " Friends, Fans, and Artists Must Meet" the most. They were a mix of seriousness and comedy that you could relate to.

thankyou. i watched them all, ( and a few random youtube links) best internet link thread ever.

this is what they need to teach in schools. if they did, i am positive many more people my age would have a very different view of poetry and literature as a whole.

thank fuck they still make people like these poets. thank fuck.

wow, i just ran across this thread again. and i don't think i ever answered you directly. Thank you for the kind words =]

And you're right, they should be taught more in schools. I've heard that more teachers are actually showing spoken word pieces such as these in their curriculum. so more power to all of them. haha, thank fuck indeed.

Hmm... Spoken Words. I really think that this a pretty cool form of presenting one's poetry. Poetry itself is very powerful in a sense. I really enjoy poetry. I have yet to go to one of these performances. Poetry is like a song, it expresses one's sorrows or emotions that surrounds one. It is a powerful thing.
