His new movie "Yatter Man"

It's been announced that Sho-kun will be in the live movie version of the anime "Yatter Man" (70's) to be release in Spring of 2009. He will be playing the lead role Gan-chan. I can't imagine Sho-kun in this kind of role coz he'll be wearing a costume in this sci-fi action movie.

A mysterious gem called the "Skull Stone" is said to be able to reveal the location of the largest vein of gold in the world. This legend has entranced many people who wanted to get their hands on fame, power and wealth, including the trio of villains in this movie: the "Dorombo (Doronbou) Gang". However, their hunt for the Skull Stone is not as easy as they imagined, mainly due to the faulty information they receive from their leader; and most of all, by a justical duo of pursuers called the "Yatterman"! The story concentrates on a time/space pursuit between the heroes and the villains who are each after their own goals.

* Gan (Ganchan): Full name Gan Takada, son of a famous toy designer who passes away before completing the machine of his dreams: the "Yatter-Wan", a dog-shaped all-terrain rescue robot. It is up to Gan, who is actually quite a bit of genius at mechanics, to complete his father's dream. He then formed a fighting team named "Yatterman" with his girlfriend Ai, and naming himself "Yatterman No. 1". His weapon of choice is a kendama which he uses as a flail and grappling hook.

* Ai (Aichan): Full name Ai Kaminari, she is Gan's girlfriend and the only daughter of a shopkeeper of electric appliances.

Actress Fukuda Saki (17) will play the heroine Ai-chan (Yatterman #2) in the live-action movie. She will be Yatterman 1 (Sho's character) girlfriend.


Kyoko Fukada will play the role of the villain Doronjo in the upcoming movie.


Katsyhisa Namase as Boyacky and Kendo Kobayashi as Tonzler (the other villains)

Sho announced in his radio program "Sho Beat" that they already started filming the movie.

Yatterman had a press conference yesterday. It was shown in 2Ji-Chao, Anchor News and News Zero.
