It seems like most of people only watch Hanayori Dango, HanaKimi, absolute boyfriend, and gokusen... There are so many Jdramas that are better than these dramas. Like If you want to watch reality stuff, watch: Life, 14Sai No Haha(14 year old mom) The Queens Classroom and watashitachi no kyokasho(our text book). Taiyo To Umi No Kyoshitsu(classroom of Sun and Sea) For comedy : Seigi No Mikata, Anna San no Omame, My Boss My Hero, Oniyome Nikki(diary of devilish wife). For heart warming/sad: Calling You, and The letter. If you want something different: Sh15uya, Juken No Kamisama(god of exams), Teru Teru Ashita(shining tomorrow), .Zoo. If you want supernatural/little bit of comedy/human: Ame To Yume No Ato Ni(after the rain and dreams), Teru Teru Ashita.. Romance: Tatta Hitotsu No Koi(only one love), Strawberries On The Short Cake, Tokkyu Tanaka 3go. I grew up watching Jdramas and I've watched some Korean/Taiwanese dramas Korean drama seems like 30 years ago's Japanese drama to me.. I like Jdrama better. I also like Chinese movies.

I have no opinion on Taiwanese dramas as I haven't seen any, as for Japanese and Korean...it's like "apples and oranges." Who do you like better, your brothers or your sisters? Your mother or your father? The sunshine or the air you breathe?

I got started on KDramas and watched about 30, or so, before discovering JDoramas...before; I had a gold mine, now I have gold and platinum...am I going to complain about either or kick one to the curb for the other? Not on your life!!! Would I sacrifice Yoon Eun Hye, Goo Hye Sun, or Jang Hyuk...for Aya Ueto, Yukie Nakama, or Kimura Takuya or vice-versa??? I'd almost rather go blind.

I, for one, shall remain eternally thankful that a bout of channel-surfing lead to me catching a wave (alongside the cast and crew of Which Star Are You From? and the alluring Jeong Ryeo Won's duel portrayal of city-girl Lee Hye-su and country-girl Kim Bokshil) that lead me into this hopeless K-Drama addiction and the eventual journey that had put me under the spell of Mimura's Aio Mio in the Japanese drama production of the tear-jerking, smile-inducing, heart-rendering series Ima Ai ni Yukimasu. Would I sacfrifice the turkey for the stuffing at Thanksgiving, or otherwise? I think not.

The nice thing about the world that we're living in is that we're not forced to chose which one, just which order that we want to watch, or eat, them...

There are so many idol dramas out now that people said it's good but it's not, it's just fans of those idols that praise it for obvious reasons. Out of J, TW and K dramas, I watched J drama the most, it's usually short series, seem like it always have some real life meaning behind it. Overall, the setting and theme are different and interesting. I just don't like how they react/act like in some mangas which I do find annoying sometimes. I also don't like the way they over act sometimes.

TW dramas are pretty much all about idols/manga themes nowadays and I'm just not into it, I only watched like 2 TW dramas that I liked: Hot Shot and something else (forgot).

K dramas, I only cared to watch a few series from start to finish, goong and full house; I saw a few others but didn't finish, it's either too long and draggy or it's the same BS plot over and over again. Yes, one of the reasons I'll watch it is because of certain HOT ladies. But they do have some good dramas from time to time, it's just that when a drama is doing well, they tent to add more ep and that just stupid. Dragging it longer like that will only make it worst. I also like hong gi dong and You Are My Destiny.

Still, I love HK (TVB) the most compare to these overall. HK is only a city compared with these countries and that's just amazing if you compare them. Only thing that I don't like about them is there CG, sometimes it's not that great but if you compare actors, themes, budgets, etc; they won't lose to anyone.

For all of them, if you watch enough from any of these places dramas, you're find things you like and dislike. This is why in this age in time we are so lucky to be able to watch any kinda of drama from all over the world. If you get bored of watching this, you can go watch something else.

To generalise something is unfair and quite misleading. I do not agree with your point of view because it is very partisan. Have you seen all the Japanese dramas? Korean? or Taiwanese? maybe you see some but not enough to make say that one is better than the other.

I have been to some of this countries and mind you, like in any country, there are dramas that are fun and interesting to watch and there are some which are not. It is the reality of any drama and nationality is not really that important.

If i offended you in some way, try to take it as a lesson. Thank you very much...

i really would like not to generalize, but it's just the way I see things..and it's probably subjective .like the way I see my countries dramas----bunch of cliche storylines..-.ahmm...I got your point---thanks!.....and if not to generalize I know that there are also a lot of Jdramas that suck....but good Jdramas outweigh the bad ones---..

I respect the tv series of other asian countries, but for me, honestly, i've seen a lot of them...and i just could generalize---i'm saying Jdramas makes superb quality dramas because I prefer it more than any asian dramas that i've watched.....
