I love how when you know what to expect but when it come into anime. It make it 10x more unbelieveable. We was sooo dame close at revealing who he was , then KABOOM~ CURSE YOU, KISHI I wanted to see if that was Tobi or Madara himself. Now I won't be able to finish my time chart. Over all, it's was an epic episode. Kisame was one bad ass character, wish they introduced more intel on the 7 legendary swordmen. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide So from this episode, It stated that Madara took out the 3rd tail host, 4th Mist Kage, which mean that was shortlt after his battle with the 1st Hokage, n shortly before Nagato was born. Cause Lady Tsunada stated that the 3rd tail disappeared during one of the wars, so the Tail beast balance was erupted. |

Kisame was one determined bastard. Just when crucial intel was about to be leaked, he forces himself to wake up by biting off his own tongue. Even after death, he gets the intel out of their hands using a booby trapped scroll, incapacitating everyone so much that all they can do is try to keep the sharks from eating them and not drown.
Guy is in serious trouble right now, after opening seven out of the eight gates and now drowning. I'm pretty sure the priority is just to rescue their comrade. Those who abandon the mission are considered scum, but those who abandon their comrades are even worse than scum! |

Ya, gotta agreed with the above posts. Kisame is one badass son of a bitch. His background story was also pretty interesting to say the least. According to the episode, he was assigned to the Cypher Division, an intelligence secret squad. And yes, I also wanted to see who the shadow was in this episode being either Tobi or Madara:
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Also, loved the history between Itachi and Kisame as well as his metaphoric description of the sharks: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide ^well, that's almost correct. R.I.P. Kisame, you will be missed. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide And next episode, Konan vs. Tobi. Can't freaking wait. |

The Confining the Jinchuuriki Arc will likely last a month or two more before coming to its conclusion. It's relatively short compared to other arcs but the next and potentially final canon arc has the chance to trump the Chuunin exam arc from Part I. In my own opinion, this upcoming arc makes the Invasion of Pain Arc look like a domestic dispute.

I think it's better subbed but once you get used to one version, it's hard to switch over to another version. I watched it dubbed up until episode 102 and then switched over, it took me a little bit to get used to it. Now when I see the dubbed version on tv, I can't get into it =/ I need the subbed version lol. So it has to do with what you're used too. That's tru but the voices sound horrible on the english version and there's sp much of the story left out, like with alot of english animes..i mean look at DBZ I used to watch naruto in english because I thought that was the only way to watch it.. |

Episode 256 sounds interesting. It could be chapter 515 from the manga which is one of my favourites. If it is, then there could well be no filler arcs squeezed. I just see no possible way they can do that, and no reason for them to do that. There's plenty of filler scenes they can inject to flesh out some of the fights that are only covered in the bare minimum.

I think the latter part of what you said happens later on during the actual war, not during the pre-war skirmishes. Fyi, we've already witnessed the first few of them such as Kisame's initial infiltration and now his attempt to extract intel on the Shinobi Army. This upcoming episode will showcase another skirmish.

Click to show or hide The final episodes before the Fourth Shinobi War arc actually begins will involve Deidara, Kabuto Yakushi, Manda II. I made the mistake about the Sai's brother and Sasori in the upcoming battle. That does indeed take place in the actual war. |

Yeah, that was pretty hilarious. I hear that people are complaining because the episode was using "boring flashbacks again". Stop thinking how dull they are and think instead about how what you're hearing (or more specifically seeing due to the subtitles). If you actually pay attention to what's going on instead of whining like a baby you might actually start to appreciate it. This episode was pretty much filler-free, with flashbacks extended slightly from the manga to give full emphasis.
I know some of you aren't paying attention. You thought it was an animation error when Sasuke and Naruto charged at each other with Rasengan and Chidori respectively, and not the other way round as it's meant to be. That was Naruto imagining how their situations could have been reversed so easily. TLDR: Pay attention to the damn story and stop complaining. You'll appreciate it more. |

Konan vs. Tobi.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I actually enjoyed watching the flashback as it gives full emphasis of what those orphans' history was like. I mean, honestly, it's what makes characters in Naruto interesting besides their abilities and personalities. Anyways, dat Jiraya frog suit: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Damn, is it me or did the animation seriously improve this episode? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide |
