maybe i'm biased...
but Ohno's role is really difficult and it's juz too contrary from Ohno's personality.
so...i choose Ohno.

I can't choose. Naruse is such a complex character. But then again, the characters are opposite to the actors (like Toma isn't angry, etc) so I think they do both do a pretty good job. ^^

The only way to know whether Toma or Ohno-kun is a better actor is to have them play each other's characters--have Ohno-kun be the screaming, always running cop and have Toma be the cold face lawyer

i think they are both really good. its a hard decision but i think Toma did a complete 360 from his other roles so this must have been a challenge for him. So i am going to go with Toma for this. But they both did stunning work.

both are good actors but I choose Ohno.
Ohno is a funny guy and he cracks a laugh easily so this serious-cold-role is truly a challenge and he amazingly performed it. Hands down to Riida.
Notice how he shift from being the angel lawyer Naruse Ryo then being the vengeful Naruse Ryo whenever he thinks of the family he had lost... the eyes, see it for yourself...
On episode 9, when Ryou got found out by Naoto and he throw Ryou a punch, guess what for a cold person like Ryou -he didn't react much nor showed he was hurt at all.... and Ryo's crying scene which were all held back that was just hard. He desrves an acting award

I agree, Ohno definitely has to get some sort of award for this. It's an extremely complex role, where you have to know EXACTLY what he is thinking at any time... and I see that you can almost read his mind and tell what he is thinking. Plus his construction of words and the way he manipulates others and keeps them guessing: (Like when he told Naoto - "I wait to see how you will react when you find out the truth"). But then again with Toma, as apprenticegropeninja said, has done a complete 360 with his roles. You can see the guilt he feels and that it's eating at him every minute and the obsession he has with finding the criminal.
I seriously can't distinguish between Toma and Ohno.

hmmm.
its really hard for me to choose but, i think toma had the tougher role to play.
his latest drama is totally the opposite of his character in maou. & plus, his real character is the somewhat playful, cheerful & happy. so it must be quite difficult too. i think this is one of his first roles where he had to play as a serious character.
but, ohno did really well in his character too.

Bias aside,I think Ohno does a better job...This is our spacey Riidaa we're talking about..To play a character totally opposite from his real self in every way and play it convincingly, well..let's say it's muzukashi which is Japanese for difficult...Ryo is really complex too..Playing a person with several layers and a good many undercurrents,it couldn't be easy..As for Naoto,Toma's acting is great as usual..But the character isn't that hard to play..I love both of their eyes when they act though..=) So both of them did an excellent job but I think this round goes to Ohno....

I hand it down to Oh-chan.. hee hee.. I seriously think that his character is what makes me glue into watching this series. There is something about him. Even though he is supposed to be the bad guy, it is so hard to dislike him since many people can identify with him. I think it's just amazing how an actor can make his role be liked by people even though he is the villain of the series. I also have this habit of looking at his eyes. I noticed that when he is really angry at Naoto, his eyes get half-lidded but since he is so well-discipline, he hides his hate for him well. But the audience can still feel the hate or sadness washing over him. It's just beautiful!

It's got to be ohno. Toma's character, even though different from his others, seems kinda samey to his other roles. I never really thought Ohno could act so well, seeing as he's hardly in any dramas, and he is so perfect for the role and pulls it off so well, he seems to outshine anyone else in the drama, in my opinion.
Then again, i'm a big fan of his anyway, lol.

both are good
but seeing as ohno's the main character and does a pretty decent job, it's more likely everyone will vote for him.
