Your parents are violating the Constitution. But at least consider what you're saying before you speak.

I think anyone has the freedom of speech. But then again, I think the younger you are, the less rights are allowed. I wouldn't want a 10 year old running around traffic screaming irrationally. Kids talk about right while their parents are spending their lives feeding and housing them. Go be free and leave the house and make your own money.

I think people should have lots of rights (especially the freedom of speech) at 18. If you are 18 and old enough to join the military, I would assume you have a basic right as the freedom of speech.

@topic: Everybody's equal before the law, age doesn't give you any sort of privileges or the right to force your opinions on others.

It's just about how wise someone in accepting other people opinion.

And how wise you are tolerating other people inability to accept you.

we really shouldn't have free speech. most kids are so ignorant of everything that we usually just spew out what our parents feed us anyways. plus, most adults deserve a lot more respect than kids give them, and yet we have to be total assholes. its really not fair that we get to say almost anything we want to anyone, no matter how disrespectful, insulting, or rude, when we don't do shit for the world. we don't work(and if we do we hardly ever contribute our money to the family), we go to school where we hang out with friends every day( out of our parent's pockets, no less), and generally don't know how the real world works. now that i think about it, about half of everything we kids say is some sort of complaint.

i like the idea, let our dumb asses formulate our own opinions about the world, the real world before we are allowed to speak out with them. i'll wait til' i'm 21 to have free speech, i don't mind, i think its a great idea.

Theres no age limit for freedom of speech, is fight for something u want to change. Babies, teens, adults and oldies they are still human after all. If they caught by cops, the cops are wrong. If the laws prohibited the use of freedom of speech, they are totally wrong too. Human have the right to change something they dont like or wanted. I hope this get u right?

Well..I think there should be a certain age requirement because if you started abusin' this law before your mind is fully develop and filled with experiences and ideas, you can start these worthless riots. For example, if you told a 6 or 5 year old about the freedom of speech in total detail, they may think that every word they say has a very strong power behind it...now imagine if, that child believes in something that is absolutely ridiculous and start spreadin' it 'round the school. If teachers and parents tried to stop them, they can be more agitated and start this strike that is just a waste of time. Though the chances of this happening is low, it is better to lower the risk of that happening

Well i guess so.People have feelings, thoughts and opinions.Does it mean that only "mature" people get the right to express their opinions to change something?NO.Because at many times, the young ones are right too,or at least have a good point.

Freedom of Speech goes hand in hand with respecting another's opinion. Kids today respect NO ONE'S opinions but their own. Therefore, they can't have the right. Your constitutional rights are only granted if you are not infringing upon anyone else's. Someone who uses their Freedom of Speech or any right against someone else's rights loses the right.
