One of my favorite brands for polos, jeans, and shorts.

Easily one of the most universal companies here in Florida
It's worn by workers and large amount of the hip-hop area in Palm Beach County

I don't see why people have such a problem with baggy clothes, okay I don't think you should wear super-over sized clothes but I like to wear baggy clothes and I always wear a belt, it's also a nice way to save money cause it will be a while before I grow out of my clothes. A lot of males at my school wear pants tighter than some girls apple bottoms , not only do I see is as uncomfortable, but extremely... well how can I say this...feminine ? Not only that but I bet they will grow out of them soon and unless they can afford it, it's a waste of money in my opinion. [Keep in mind this is just my opinion before anyone wants to flame me]

Ehh i can't really add anything to this thread apart from what I've seen. I don't really wear the over sized tall teeshirts straight billed caps or baggy cuffed jeans over elaborated jewlery ect.....I'm more of a Saks 5th avenue and Nordstrom type of guy...i like my jeans comfortable but not overtly large but preferably straight legged. I like shirts, ties and polos.

But that is one commonality i have seen with my clothing choices and some other hip hop artists......I've seen (mainly Kanye West) Wear some select Lacoste clothing. some of which i own myself.

Is smart the new gangsta? It's taken me a while to fully wrap my mind around the brainchild that is the Smart is the New Gangsta campaign. But make no mistake about it, what I lack in conceptual clarity I overcompensate for with personal life experience.

See, I am Gangsta. Not the traditional gangster, holding your neighborhood franchises under coma inducing choke holds, applying pressure on proprietors to siphon off their funds into the intermittent coffers of my goons, just long enough to transfer profits into the proverbial pimp cup of the lead gangster that is Me.

No, I am Smart – The New GangstA. Born into poverty, exposed to the drug-inspired chaos that was the eighties, I am a product and a remainder of the times.

Violence: There's little doubt that there is no future for the "bust ya head boy" culture that defined an era of urban American Gangsterism. What it has produced is Smart – The New GangstA: individuals who regard violence as reflective responses to emotional outbursts that reveal individuals with little or no options.

Grind: Respect for the grinds of sisters and brothers caught up in the real struggles of everyday living remain. When faced with the primal instincts of fight or flight, these brothers and sisters chose fight over flight, and won. What this has produced is Smart – The New GangstA: individuals who respect and emulate the ultra grind of black professionals, such as doctors, lawyers, proprietors and all other Black Experts Blazing Trails of Excellence in ALL other fields.

Traditional Gangsters are phenomena of the past. Legends of their times, their exploits have seeped into the consciousness of our communities, forming the cornerstones of the gangster vibe pulsating the veins of multi-billion dollar empires - DEFINING the swag of an entire generation. But if one thing is certain, it's this: the future does not belong to those who repeat the mistakes of the past.

The future belongs to those who respect the grind, learn the rules of the game, internalize the mistakes of others and mix that knowledge with vision and Smart work to build legitimate enterprises of the FUTURE.

Is Smart really the New Gangster?" YES! http://www.dangerousnegro.com/home.cfm
