From the information you put...I am not quite sure I understand..to clarify.....You get the sound and no video....means you might not have the codecs for them. I use K-Lite. You can use whatever program you want. If you have played anime before..I do not know what to say.. For some reason avi movies compared to avi anime might and could be totally different and need the codecs to play one or the other. I used to play using media player and would play one medium but couldnt play the other due to the lack of codecs...and both were avi formats. I hope this helps..and I do not know if you used a codec package already. You do not have enough information to narrow your possiblities down where I can give you specifics.

Download and install CCCP. It's the best and easiest to use codec pack.

If it still doesnt work, the file in the torrent might be corrupted or you didnt download the whole file.

Yea, try VLC even though i prefer CCCP w/Media Player Classic.
If it doesnt work on VLC, then there's probably something wrong with your file.

I use to love the VLC, but after dl'ing the CCCP pack (one file wasn't so happy wih VLC) and used the Media Player Classic that came with it, (gotta love the ability to set a background for it!) it worked.

anyway to make the codec from the CCCP work on the VLC instead of the Media Player Classic?

Try the core media player. google it. Also, instead of using bittorent, try using Utorrent or azureus because bittorrent is too slow.

I like VLC as well, and the time that i didn't have the right codecs I need the Mastroska Pack, but I believe I got an error when I needed them so that may not be your problem ^^

EDIT: oh! and as for bittorrent download managers I also use and like Azereus

VLC is the best... can play practically any type of file and dont need much codecs unlike some other plaers.

Core media player is good once u get the codec pack...

And i personally use utorrent for my download manager.. seems most easiest to use for me.

CCCP is the best for video playback, it lets you play everything.
VLC is the next best thing.

End of story

Anyway, Sypris never said which bittorrent client he was using.
