...no words can come to my mind right now...god...the lyrics for this song have to take the cake for bad lyrics, almost as bad as easy breezy, japanesey...and the MV looks crapass cheap, green screen anyone? but her dancing is very very good in the MV so that's a plus...but still...disappointed...

Gotta give her a break yeah? I think her voice is also digitalized... yes...
But its her first debut, they've gotta make sure she makes an impression.

As to the lyrics.. yes its very crappy.. but thats about all hip hop songs are that way, so america doesn't mind the crappy lyrics.

The positive side is that her dance moves are totally awesome and that would caught some people's eye. On top of that, the music is digestible and it is catchy. Whether people "catches" it and love, or hate it, depends on her luck.

Future is to come, this is jst the first step to make sure she makes an outbreak. Once she has garnered more western fans, more great things are to come from it.

But for now, its her first debut in america (officially, mainstream) and they gotta do whatever it takes to make it :/

AS FOR THE VIDEOS! the korean version is good as well as the english. Except that the english video version is kind of lame.. it reminded me of britney spears video (the beginning). THe korean music video is a better approach :>P

Not all Hip Hop songs have crappy lyrics, and when I heard these my mind was totally blown, I know American Hip Hop tends to have bad lyrics, but this really took the cake.

Yes.. its something you wouldn't expect from BoA. I too, didn't expect something like that.. But then for me, she finally makes some poppy music again.. unlike "The Face" album era which was horrible. haha.

Personally, I think this song is the worst thing she's ever released, it's different from her typical pop style--it's total trash.

The song is a poor choice--breaking into the American scene is hard enough, and this song just won't cut it, it'll flop over and be covered up as a poor attempt.

What depresses me even more is that they went through a list of 1000 songs, and chose THIS one. Ugh. They said it "compliments her voice." No it doesn't. I thought it took far too much away from her voice.

Her accent is so obvious. its not going to do her any good.
I thought the video was kinda cheap looking. the korean version was so much better.
Americans like full rich voices and BoA lacks that. Although i do hope she suceeds in the US industry.

First of all, i don't think there's such thing as a 'debut' in the States. it's either they like your song or not.
No offence to BoA's fans, but her live performances usually sounds mediocre, and her English sounds.....
The market currently seems to favor tween singers, aka Jonas Bros, Hannah Montana, HSM. Plus, Britney's making a comeback. So i don't think there's room for BoA.

And if there's any Asian singer that's gonna make it BIG in the States. it's gotta be Charice Pempengco! Everyone from Celine Dion, Josh Groban to Andrea Bocelli and David Foster think she's great. Most importantly, Oprah lovers her! haha....

Well, good luck to BoA. But i think she should change her name first...

I agree with half of what you said!
Rihanna, pussy cat dolls, pink are also on the spot!
So there is no BIG chance(but you know what,we never know)
There is no Debut in America since they are so many singers and artist already!
Charice is gonna make it big??
She doesnt even sing her own songs!
She doesnt even have a song(single) on her own!
No offence or anything,,

I wish luck to BoA!

Er...Love the dancing in the American video but the Korean video just looks better and is just way cooler to watch.

Also, I think her accent in barely noticeable compared to many but it's still not going to cut it-there's way to many prejudiced people in the states, especially powerful ones, for someone with even the slightest hint of an accent to make it.
I get why they chose such an, erm, flashy song for her 'debut' but I think they should also let out a ballad as soon as possible after Eat You Up to contrast and show off skill, and right after let out a song that Americans would actually listen and dance to and have her do a very hard dance routine along with a short move repeated several times that is easy for people to copy in that dance song video.
Well, hope she makes it and doesn't become screwed up because of American show business...!

i do agree that accents don't matter and add to some artists appeal.. like british and australian accents are trendy... yet i don't think most Americans are into asian accents... that's just my opinion.. i guess if you think a korean accent adds to an artists appeal that's your opinion too =)

but even though i don't really like the song.. i must say her accent has improved a lot. i hope it gets even better =)
