I have some questions for all of the manga readers out there.

1. Why do you read ahead and complain about everything? Here's something that might blow you away, make sure you're sitting down, here it goes, if you don't read ahead the anime won't seem to take so long, you won't know which episodes are filler, well you might be able to spot a few but you won't know ALL of them.

2. What is with the filler hating? Most of you seem to know exactly which episodes are filler, yet you sit and watch them and then complain, why doesn't that make sense to me? I've heard it all, bad quality, bad voice acting, etc. but I did a little research, did you know american comics are the same? No, really if you've ever watch Spiderman(90's) or Batman: The animated series, you'd see events that happened in the comic book, and their fillers aren't made by cheaper animators to save money, no offense to japanese companies but how cheap can you get, to go and find people with lesser artistic abilities for 2-5 or 4-8 episodes?

3. (This is aimed at all anime fans) What's with the first come first liked attitude? Just because something came first doesn't make it the best. Sure manga was first because tv wasn't always around. For example, if you see a movie based off a book, it's dumb to say the book came first so I like it more, why not like whatever hell you want to like?

1. I read ahead and complain because of poor directing. Certain moments were emphasized in the manga while in the anime it ended up being extremely poorly executed.

2. The only fillers that people generally complain about are continual fillers for like >10 episodes or more. Generally if they're one shot fillers they have no depth and they might as well not have shown it. It is a pathetic appeal by the company to produce an episode to attempt to gain money when it would have been better off to not show it.

3. The first come first liked attitude is true because most adaptations are bad. If you watch a movie based on a book, you never are fulfilled. When you read the book, you already have an expectation. Your imagination creates the proper atmosphere and setting. When an adaptation fails to achieve that, then it fails. That's why books, and manga are generally better because they came first. Our impressions were influenced by them causing us to develop a certain level of effect. It's all about the "unity of effect".

1. I dont even watch the anime counterparts of the manga I read coz they pain me too much (the shock of actually hearing their voices, and those voices sometimes not being what you expect them to be, really turn me off; plus I always find the manga to have better art except for shonen manga like Prince of Tennis or Bleach).
2. Sometimes I dont mind fillers coz they can be funny.
3. Lol I agree; its your opinion so you're not subject to being hated on just because you like the anime better than the manga (or vice versa).

1. I dont complain, if i dont like it, i just not watch it. For example naruto, i stick with the manga since i dont want to waste hours of it. If i read it, i dont watch it, simple and easy. Also allows you not to complain, "THE FILLERS, they boring!!" or what ever people say about them

2. I have seen around 20 episodes of Naruto (random in total), and sure there were some Fillers that arent in manga, but i dont have a problem with it, its not like everyone of them is bad, so if i dont like it, i just skip it, no whining or hating

3. Not really dumb to hate or like it of which ever came first, sometimes i have seem some manga that were created into anime and i enjoy them both, or i might like either. Its just your opinion of which version you may like. (EX. some of my friends hate the movie King Arthur since its different than it is in books, while other of my friends said they loved it)

I can understand why people moan about the Naruto fillers. Hell, I moan about them. 1-2 fillers are okay. Even 10 is alright. Naruto had like, 80? 100? some crazy amount. It shouldn't happen. Just say no to fillers that come close to the actual series in terms of length.

Believe or not but manga and anime are completely different things. You don't love them enough to understand it.

1. I've only recently started reading ahead due to being impatient with the speed the anime's move the plot along and now find myself in the situation of being impatient for the next manga for the exact same reason. Can't win there I suppose.

2. As long as their core market of Japan keeps the ratings high then filler arcs will continue to be done. The animation companies don't give a rats arse what the rest of the World thinks and complaining about it isn't going to change things. Deal with it as they aren't listening to you and never will.

3. I like the anime as they can give more life to a story then the static images in the pages of a manga. Some images are just too damn obscure for my liking so that I have no idea what is happening, the anime helps out in that sense.

1. I typically only pick up a manga if I enjoy the anime. Occasionally, I'll pick up a manga that there isn't an anime for, but I have yet to actually see an anime after having read the manga. I find I can enjoy both more if I do it this way.

2. Depends on the filler. Sometimes filler allows a series to kick back and have some fun, or try something really different for a few episodes. A lot of the time though filler tends to just be a waste of time and an insult to the viewer. Personally, I typically avoid anime that's more than 50 episodes in length just because I of filler. Longest series I've watched is probably Kenshin, and I thought the bulk of the third arc was a waste of time.

3. What you see first is where you get your preconceived notions of how the narrative should be. Same with any book to movie argument. I pretty lenient on anime adaptations of manga and games, but sometimes they do cross the line into absurdity.

Also, remember you're dealing with Narutards. Looking for insight and intelligence in that group is like fishing in the dead sea. You can fish there all day, but it doesn't mean you'll catch anything.

Ok, I use to hear that fillers were made to save money which obviously means either they aren't using certain camera effects or different animators are on the job, but that's it right there, if you're trying to save money, why not wait for the manga to move ahead so the anime doesn't go ahead of it, and then start again? Did that make sense? I'll use the simple version. The "main" reasons for fillers is so the anime doesn't reach or go ahead of the manga, right? Can't they simply stop making episodes for a short time, instead of making filler eps that has everyone crying?

Also, I know it may be tradition but why can't the anime go ahead? Is it going to destroy earth? Will the sea boil? Will all the animals rise up against man? Will life as we know it perish? I don't think so. The reason I'm more on anime's side is because I like animation better than reading, not because of what came first or what some consider "canon" or "original story" For example, if a character in a manga accidentally kills a lesser known character but in the anime it doesn't happen, no skin off my bones, who the hell cares? Not me. Also it seems to be an awful lot of manga 1st fans scattered across anime websites and forums, I can't tell you what to do but really wtf are you doing here? Go to a manga site. (Please don't flame me for that last comment, I had to get that off my chest)

Yeah, filler is mainly so the anime dosen't catch up to the manga, I'm pretty sure that's what all the Naruto filler was for. I've watched a few long series, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and I'm currently watching Kenshin. One Piece has surprisingly few fillers for an anime over 300 episodes...but that might only be because I'm comparing it to Naruto's filler.

1. I don´t complain if there is nothing to complain about.

2. Most fillers suck, and fillers are not episodes that arent included in the manga, they are episodes that have no connection or significanse towards the main plot, which mostly do bore the crap out of me.

3. Not all manga is better than the anime, off the top of my head: Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, FLCL. Much better anime than manga, so it really depends on the spesific anime in question.

I only read ahead because I like to know what happens before I see it. I actually appreciate the fillers. Most times, I can't decide on what I like the most. A lot of the times if I read the manga I won't watch the anime because I already saw it, unless I really like it.
