Um, well the obvious ones are d.grayman and bleach. Possibly Fairy tail if you havn't tried that.
Buso renkin is ok... but not that great. The eureka seven manga is really good and alternative to the anime if you havn't seen/read that yet. Blood+ manga is also alright.
On the more ecchi side, DearS, girls bravo, vampire to rosario, can't really think of any more atm.

um... i think:
to-love-ru - love the funny situations he gets into but it's a really typical plot.they look pretty childish pics the guy always gets into ecchi situations
rosario vampire - same thing but more mature pics
d-grayman - i'm still confused with the story plot

The best Shonen manga? Either Devilman or Fullmetal Alchemist, it is.
