This was soo hell of a question it took me too long to think about it here is the answer well im not sure if its right or wrong. but i gave it a shot

Lets say that (t= 50)
B(t) = C*e^(gt-0.5st²)

B(t) = 50 e (0.1t-0.005t²)

50B = 50 e (5-12.5)

50B = 50 e X-12.5) { here i divided by 50}

50B = -375 e

B = -7.5 e

that means: after 50 years there are 0.000001030576811 trees in the forest.
this is such a small value, we can say there are no more trees in the forest after 50 years.

the questions were


In which year is the highest number of trees in the forest? How many are they?
At what point in time is the highest rate of growth?
After how many years is only one tree remaining?

B(t) is NOT B*t !
it has nothing to do with multiplication...
B(t) = is the number of trees at the point of time t
it is a SINGLE VALUE !!!



e^x is NOT e*x !

e^x
means x is the exponent to the base e
it means e is multiplied with itself x times

e.g. :

if x=2
e^2 = e*e (=7.389056099)

if x=5
e^5 = e*e*e*e*e (=148.4131591)

etc..

X^12 = X*X*X*X*X*X*X*X*X*X*X*X
2^3 = 2*2*2 (=8)
5^6 = 5*5*5*5*5*5 (=15625)

and if you dont know "e", read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_(mathematical_constant) !!


these are the basics of maths you have to know when answering this question!!
