ANIME CR 4chan..disturbing images posted here..there..but thats not what this is about..im wandering if its possible for anyone over-exposed to all this violence can be truly normal again..i've read up on it and the experts say yes...but i think no.

Watch more of it and pretty soon it'll be normal, either that or just watch romance and comedies for the rest of you're life.

Um, whats 4chan?

If you feel that some of the content here is disturbing for you, and that it may affect you, then it's completely your decision to decide to leave the site. No one here is keeping you here. In addition, it's a given that there will be aggressive users, or those that post inappropriate content for a PG13 site. That given, it's up to the maturity of the users and the efficiency of the mods to deal with them accordingly.

They can't be eliminated, but they can most certainly be dealt with.

If you want to avoid any of the conflicts that are present in pretty much every social site that has a forum, then it's best that you just avoid it. But honestly, it's really in your integrity as a person not to let any of the comments of other people affect you, be they violent or otherwise.

I think since the first post of this was a little confusing people assumed itachi-kun was complaining. I think what he was trying to ask was "How much violence can a person see/experience before they are irreversibly damaged (mentally)?"

I think the more violence we see the more unaffected by it we become. We get kind of jaded like "oh someone just died *shrugs*" haha as oppose to "OMG O_O he just DIED that's AWFUL" you know?

Well..let's see. I saw like 10 horror-movies in a row, and I went to sleep giggling like a psycho-bitch.

I think it depends largely on the age of the viewer. Yes, violence in media can adversly effect a developing mind. It won't turn them into assassins, but they'll probably be more likely to initiate physical violence. This is largely to do with the lack of real consequence in reaction the the violence. Once moral and behavioral boundries are set, however, I don't believe simply watching violence will effect the mental state of a person.
