Shinji removed the 100 CR point minimum requirement to access the CR chat feature, but accounts have to be at least
3 days old before they can have access to the CR chatrooms.

Shinji increased the minimum number of CR points required to start a new forum topic from 200 CR points to
500 CR points.

The CR point system has been updated and is now as follows:
2 points for each forum post, guestbook post, or video comment
3 points for having a verified email
5 points for having an avatar
5 points for completing your profile (bday, loc, headline...)
2 points for each photo in your gallery
20 points for uploading a video
For those of you who have noticed a decrease in your CR points, it's most likely due to the fact that photos are now only
2 points. If you've uploaded several pictures, expect your CR points to drop down quite a bit.
In addition to the CR point system update, a minimum CR point requirement of
100 CR points has been implemented before a user can
access the chat feature of the site.

The point system is redone! You can click the "cr points" link at the bottom of the page to see whats changed. basically, i don't count private messages anymore because it doesnt really contribute to the community =P. i count 7 points for photos shared in your own gallery. Your profile page should now show the complete breakdown of where your points come from. Hope this is an improvement! =D

I don't know if this is a finalized point system, but this is how the points work as of now.
Video Uploads: 20 points
Private Messages: 4 points
Forum Posts: 2 points
Guestbook Entries: 0 points
Video Comments: 0 points
Profile Photo Uploads: 0 points

Points from video comments and guestbook entries are gone, while points from PMs have been adjusted to count 4 points; this is why some of you have very low points while other's points have increased significantly

hey guys,
if your cr points dropped since yesterday, don't worry about it! i changed some stuff last night, so it'll be lower than you expect. it's not counting the guestbook entries and forum posts, only the video comments and private messages are being used.
