I go to myanimelist.net and search by genres, like psychological or slice of life. Then read the description and decide whether I want to watch it or not.

Hmm. I go to my favorite site and just click random title and read the summary, if i think it's interesting then i will watch it and if i find it interesting and quite entertaining then I'll watch the series and if it not then i just click another random title.

So then I am curious about how the rest of the world chooses anime to watch. I am going to guess Netflix or some other movie service but I don't have that.

For me choosing a new anime is well random. I may read the description on the back of a DVD or a box set. And I may look at a few reviews but in the end I tend to just grab anime off the shelf and watch.

Buying dubbed anime is a risk in and of itself, since anime can be very expensive. So I am wondering what methods others may have for choosing anime to purchase?

Take a look at my account.. I've listed all the animes I've finished and currently watching ^^... and those imma bout to watch ^^...

I hope it helps ^^

Yeah I have tried the summary approach but I find that most summaries do not do the anime justice. I remember a while ago when I first read a summary of Naruto... god like 5 years ago. And the summary did not make it out to be as cool of a show as it really is.
