Humans are strange.

We only want things that we cannot have. Just like adam on garden of eden. Who have an easy life in heaven but decided to have the only one thing in life he cannot have. The forbidden fruit from the tree.

If we can have things.. we grow bored of it. Respect it less. Don't want it as much.

This is true to everything in life. About money, opposite sex, material things, love, lust, sex.

Lately i've been realizing though.. It applies even to life itself.

I mean watch the discovery channels. In the animal kingdoms, survival of the fittest means everything. Eat or be eaten. Fight or flight. Just for bringing food no matter what goes on through the day to survive it. (or in some case of some animals, to avoid to be food)

While us. Did you know that we're the only species in earth that commit acts of suicide?

We practically have to much of "life" that we actually throw it away.

Yeah, i know not everybody is an emo and commits suicide. Some of y'all are actually very outspoken against the act of committing suicide on the other thread.

But... I mean.. just ask anybody if life is easy. Ask anybody in this whole planet that says they are perfectly happy. Ask anybody that you know. Ask yourself. Like damn, even the rich and successful can have the life of hell of insecurities and deprivation (Britney anyone?)

It just truly amazes me how ironic the paradox that exist within us all.

We can't ever truly be happy.

Coz the things that makes us happy are things that we cannot have.

The only thing that keeps us here, that keeps us sane and happy are probably hopes. Hopes that we can get whatever it is that we want, but cannot have. (which strangely, if we do have it in the end, we'll move to the another thing that we can't have all over again).

Ladies and gentlemen, I think I just figured the true meaning of life and human nature. We're put into this world to chase illusions. I'm just sincerely hoping for you all, that you can have a deep and meaningful enough illusions in life to die for.

you are absolutely right and this was an awsome post..

I find this happening alot with girls I go after and do whatever it takes to get her, once I've gotten her, I end up losing interest fast which is why I'm never able to stay in a relationship for to long...Life is nothing but a double edge sword, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

If you had an epiphany that's fucking super but I don't really think that an internet community of weeaboos really gives a shit.

If you really think you're hot shit go and post this on some sociological forum or something and preach how you're the greatest thing since sliced bread.

You think you've figured out the true meaning of life and nature? Get over yourself man. And it's the "survival of the fittest" for us too. We're really not all that different from other creatures, just on a different plane.

@voidlugiron, quite frankly, if you want to bully someone then go bully those who make crappy topics that are not even worth to take a look at.

Blunt assumptions. If you think that the whole community of CR doesn't care, that's just your opinion, which is literally based on nothing. Talking in the name of others is quite a rude act of yours. I suggest you would stop this immediately as it doesn't help you to prove your case as empty words will always remain empty.

By any means, if you have something mindful to pass on then do so, but instantly cut the crap right there as this low level of flames is just ridiculous.

I've thought of this many times, and definitely, humanity is something amazingly strange, but that's why it's intriguingly interesting. People's mind and their purpose of life. Why do we live? Is it mere instinct or is there something more to it? Is there something that everyone of us is here for to full fill? Are we here with something more meaningful than just reproducing ourselves? Sadly, I've never came to a conclusion that would have pleased my mind. I am still stuck on the idea that we are just an "accident".

Thank you for sharing me what you think. I really cared. Truly. Your opinion will be greatly valued.

And thanks for the advice. Last time I check though, I'm free to post whatever I like on CR's forum. You don't like it? tough. Here's an easy solution for us both. Don't read it. And move on.

That way you don't have to be bored. And I don't have to see your annoying posts.

It's a win-win situation.

ps. (the fck is up with that.. "I don't really think that an internet community of weeaboos really gives a shit". Lol. You just called everyone here a weeaboos. And wot? you're not in the position to speak up for anybody. Look at the above posts. Some people actually want to discuss this topic. So your prediction are wrong. Fail. Go away)

well.. the sad truth is that.

I would like to.

I invite everybody to discuss about this and tell me what they think. If somehow my point of view is wrong. I have absolutely no problem in people correcting me.

I didn't post this to inflate my sense of ego.

I didn't post this to be right.

I post this to have a deeper understanding about my self. About us humans in general. And with all the time i spent thinking.. This is the conclusion that I came up with.

hehe thanks for sticking up for me like that.

And yeah. Lately i thought about us being a cosmic accident too.

Well, there is that possibility of human's technology expanding rapidly we will achieve a god-like mind (like making your brains 10000x times faster by implanting a cybernetic aids and all that). And our destiny are helping contribute whatever it is we can give to achieving that dream.

It's kind of impossible in today's world though.

I mean any funds to research that kind of thing will go to nuclear/weapon programs instead.

Kinda silly huh?

So was the fail directed at me or you?

How the fuck is that a prediction? That ,my good man, is a fact if you look at half the threads on this site.

Well, I don't know if I ever want to reach a god-like mind. I don't think that people would use their god-like minds for any good deeds, it would be more like a nuke war starting, and sadly I think that the current economical breakdown and the political situations are getting quite serious, and when it gets serious and the people are desperate, they most probably tend to start a war, any kind of war, to save themselves, food prices, the economical crisis, etc. are forcing people to bring out their survival instinct, and when a whole community or country feels threatened, no matter what kind of threat it is, they tend to..defend themselves, i.e. go to war.

Sadly, this is quite true, the money is being spent on nuclear energy, weapons, and other kinds of unnecessary material, which will only worsen the whole situation on this planet. The UK is planning on building more Nuclear Plants, instead of this unreliable and dangerous energy, why aren't they putting money into something that is more safer? I honestly don't want to have to go through another Chernobyl.

Thank You very much for that cookie. But seriously...just don't troll around, it's no good, this forum is already chaotic enough, and you certainly don't need to contribute any more to this already existing chaos. =/

EDIT: Supermalv, just ignore him, you don't need to prove your case nor defend yourself, as it is quite obvious and clear as crystal that Monsieur voidlugiron is in the wrong.
