I like the songs from Beck, notably Slip up, Brainstorm and Hit in the USA. Also like Tsubasa from Tsubasa Chronicles. Evangelion's Fly Me To The Moon is not really by a Japanese songwriter so it doesn't really count does it? And Stray and Gravity from Wolf's Rain.
Still wish that English songs by Japanese songwriters had better lyrics though. Sometimes the lack of grammar and sense of the sentences irritate me, even the songs themselves have lovely tunes.
