It depends on how the world were to go about it.
Chances are if it happened right now, it would fail miserably.
Borders are drawn to separate us all into countries for a reason... mankind just doesn't want to agree under one idea.
Too many religions, not enough acceptance of diverse thinking.

Who decides who that leader is?
Why should I share my worldy possessions with individuals who are unwilling to work to acquire theirs?

An impossible dream is impossible. One man (or a group) can't control the world. A single corruption of a leader will lead to a global problem. A person like Hitler as a leader would be too devastating. And, blah blah blah.

just one leader to all people around the world? sounds imaginative but practically nope.that surely impossible and if it is possible then many issues might arise from that. not to tell this cant be happen but consider the background diversity amongst the people all around the world. peoples would not agreed to ideas who outweigh others even they are the same (under same "leader").

if there is one leader, probably not. But if we shared everything, ofcourse.

Code Geass anyone? WWIII? Other than what has already been prophesized in books. It may be a good and bad thing. The world is kinda halfway to one-world. Countries depend on international trade so much now that they can't live as an isolationist. The Euro is the first step to a global currency. TEH INTERNET. International cultures are slowing blending all together. And although we are far off from globally speaking one language (English as a second language doesn't count in my opinion) we have the oppertunity to be well versed in other languages.

It's a lousy idea. We have too many different religions, languages, cultures, opinions etc. to be united under one nation.

No thanks. What if the leader is an asshole? And heck, why should I share my possessions with someone else? I am selfish, and I don't want to share my hard earned stuff with some slacker. I'd go amok in no time. *gets rifle*
