I know that a lot of people who use TI(Texas Instruments) calculators know how to make programs. I myself know a lot about basic programming, not much about assembly. But i was wondering if anyone else at CR shared my interest in Calculator Programming. so this thread is all about TI calc programming. talk about it, Discuss/Share programs, or just ask questions from fellow programmers. I my self have a TI 84 plus Silver Edition.

I used to have Mario and Tetris on my TI-83... and I also used to know how to produce "The Matrix" effect on it... but that was all so useless and used up too much battery. So now I just use it as a calculator.

I used to put many games on there when I was in highschool, those days when one is forced to stay in school... Rpgs, pacman, etc. Thats about as far as my interests go, did a bit of editing, but thats about it.

Linux isn't that great. I tried it out for a month and bleh. Besides if you program a game onto your calculator you can play it in school or wherever.

Why program in a calculator when you can define an operating system...?

Because calculators are that much cooler

yeah, computer programming is fun, but its much harder. calculator programming is for beginners. except assembly that real hard to do. but we have to start somewhere.

heheh, yeh when i was bored shitless in maths.
I'd make some programs like crappy word games (similar to pimp quest) or programs that simplify my calculations

i made a program that displayed the alert that "your batteries are low, recommended change of " .... etc and got it to work on startup.
(on other pplz calculators of course )
