does it have something to do with Kaname's chess?

especially when Zero bite Yuki in Ep.5, Kaname was holding the "Knight/Horse" piece

i think they called it "vampire knight" 'cause maybe at the end of the manga and the anime i've heard that the night class ( which r vampires) protected the day class from being gotten by the evil vampires and the part of zero and yuki being guardians to protect the secret of the night class that they r vampires.

I always thought it refered to Zero since he was a vampire who hunts vampires, since he was a little more angsty in the manga it made sense to me. But it could relate to Kaname since he always protects Yuuki. I dunno. >.>

i think Kaname is the "King" cuz when he is talking w/ Ichijo, he said "i collected it all" then the King piece was the only black piece on the chess board. and when he was talking w/ Shizuka, the King or Queen piece (the pic was kinda blurry i couldnt recognize it lol) was between his book

EDIT: he was also holding the white "Knight" piece pertaining to Zero

i think the title pertains to zero (i dont know why..).... or to yuki's gonna be so-called *knight in a shining armor* which is a vampire that is soon to be known yet.. haha...

hey exactly. i gave it a thought last night then realize that vampire knight may have something to do with zero. like he was the KNIGHT kaname was pertaining to then suddenly he was a VAMPIRE. and u know, it's kinda ironic that he despises the vampires then there he was one of them. and the night class kaname was pertaining to was black. and he said so himself that he was the king. lol.

with all the chess ides..

I believe that Shizuka-Sama was the white queen, Rido-Sama the white king and Zero the white knight..

and then it goes to Kaname-Sama black king, Yuuki black queen and the rest of the night class..

and a knight can move 3 spots all around and Kaname-Sama taking one step at the time (destorying one at a time) and impossible to get Zero...

so in a way, i think Kaname-Sama is making it harder for him to get Zero (when the time is needed)...

my guess anyways

I THINK VAMPIRE KNIGHT COMES FROM THE FACT THAT THE ANIME IS MAINLY ABOUT VAMPIRES THAT DWELL IN THE NIGHT

I was gonna say exactly the same as diazragu08, but now that i look at it and think. I guess the chess thing makes more. Plus it sounds more fun.
