hentai anime

I agree with you rean14 about hentai, it is best choice to start off. It could go either way but I believe it has a higher chance on bring in the non-viewers.

It depends on the person's likings, but generally I would say zero no tsukaima or eyeshield, maybe naruto or bleach

The first thing you gotta do for the non viewer is know what type of show they like watching. For example, my aunt really loves drama doctor stuff so I showed her monster and she LURVED it. (heck, she couldn't believe that cartoons could be so good.) then she asked me what other type of drama anime there is so I showed her my favorite anime drama Kimi ga nozomu eien.

Although age plays a factor, its always good to know what type of show your friends/family like. Show them the best of the category and then little by little show them not so good ones and watch, they'll still be satisfied with them.

As I speak now, my aunts on wiki, looking for who made the Monster anime and see if there's a comic book version of it (cause I told her usually they have stuff in manga they don't show in anime XD)

well it depends on the ages and interests.
this is my general answer :

younger ages - CCS, Shugo Chara, Sailor Moon, ++
moderate - TRC, VK, Bokura ga Ita, ++
mature-er - School Days, Jigoku Shougo, ++

for all ages&&familes, Studio Ghilbli's would be what i suggest :
Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away ++
Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Monoke ++
Grave of the Fireflies ++

OK as I was doing my reply to upcoming series and was reading up on mini-synopsis and dates for new anime coming out, I noted Emily of New Moon is becoming an anime. I mentioned it in passing to my mom who watched the TV Series on Canadian TV here and she, despite not watching or really liking anime (she wonders why I watch so much... ), she was actually interested in seeing it. I remember when younger the rest of my family didn't like anime and yet, I got my dad to watch with me Ninja Scroll, and my brother did sit down to watch Grave of the Fireflies with me.

So those are some of my anime shows I've watched with non-viewers in my family. Do you have any such experiences that happen by chance or that you thought out to do? What anime series or movies would you recommend OR show to a non-viewer who either doesn't like anime OR has never seen anime before? Looking forward to replies as usual so take care!

For non-veiwers alwayss introduce them through comedy. Like Crayon Shin-chan, Hajime no Ippo, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Hunter X Hunter, and Beck. Those are goodd starters. Hajime no Ippo and History is introduction for long animes. After that go to One Piece. Highly Recommend
