A story i liked.

A story about a young man went to foreign country to study for few years and then he went back to his original country. His family was thrilled by his returning and makes a special reception for him. However, when a prayer time came,, he refused to go to pray with them in nearby mosque and said:
I won't pray with you unless one of your great sheiks come to answer my 3 questions first!
So, one of his family members brought a good scholar.
The scholar said to that young man:
what are your questions?

The young man replied: and do you think you can answer my questions while many people before you couldn't?!!

The scholar said: let's try and God help us!

The young man replied: my 3 questions are:
1- Is God really existing?! If he does, show me his form.
2- What is Divine Fate or Decree?
3- if Satan is made with fire, so how he will be tortured in hell and fire will not hurt him anyway?!

So, When the young man said what he has,, the scholar slapped him toughly on his face that made him burn with pain!!
The young man got mad and said:
why did you do that?! You couldn’t find an answer!!
The scholar replied: I did, and my answer is with this SLAP!
The young man said: I don't get it!
The scholar replied: what do you feel after I slapped you!
The young man said: horrible pain!!!!
The scholar replied: so, you think that pain existing!
The young man said: SURE!! I'm still feeling it!!
The scholar replied: Then, can you show me this pain and its form?!
The young man said: I can't!!!!
The scholar replied: so, this is my answer toward your first question. We feel that God existing with his marks, signs, …etc,,, even though we can't see him!
The scholar added then: did you dream that someone will slap you on your face?!
The young man said: NO!!
The scholar added: did anyone tell you that I will slap you today or have you got any knowledge about this before?!!
The young man said: NO!!!!

The scholar replied: this is the Divine Fate,,, we don't know what will happen before it happens!
The scholar added: my hand that slapped you now, can you tell me which material that made of,,, the origin material?!
The young man said: Clay!!
The scholar added: and your face?!
The young man said: Clay too!!!
The scholar replied: and what did you feel after I slapped you?!
The young man said: Real Pain!!!
The scholar replied: Exactly,,, that goes with Satan as well! God made him with Fire,, and Fire in Hell will be real pain and real torture for him too.
After that, The young man convinced and went to pray with that scholar,, and became good Muslim.

The story of 3 friends
www.iLuvislam.com
By : norayhunt

Not long ago, three friends came to the New York city. They decided to stay in a hotel during the visit.

It so happened that their room ended up being on the 60th floor.

The policy of the hotel was that everynight after 12:00 a.m. the elevators are shut down for security reasons. The next day, the three friends rented a car and went out to explore the city. They enjoyed movies, concerts, and other things throughout the whole day. At one point, they remembered that they have to get back to the hotel before 12 a.m.

When they arrived, it was beyond 12 a.m. at night. The elevators were shut down. There was no other way to get back to their room but to take the stairs all the way to the 60th floor. All of a sudden, one friend got an idea.

He said “For the first 20 floors, I will tell jokes to keep us going. Then another one of us could say wisdom stories for the next 20 floors. Finally, we will cover the other 20 floors with sad stories.”

So, one of the friends started with the jokes. With laughs and joy, they reached the 20th floor. Now, another friend started saying stories that are full of wisdom. So, they learned a lot while reaching the 40th floor. Now, it was time for the sad stories.

So, the third friend started thus, “My first sad story is that I left the key for the room in the car.”

Now, what is the point of this story?

This story resembles our lifecycle. For the first 20 years of our life, we spend time in joking and enjoying whatever is out there. Then, after we reach 20, we go into the work force, get marriead, have kids and this is the time when we use our wisdom. Then, if we reach 40, we finally see the white hairs and begin to think that my life is coming to an end and the sadness begins.

It’s better that we start our life in the very beginning by remembering death rather than preparing for it at the end our life when very few of us have the energy to obey Allah completely. We should also remember that there is no guarantee of a life of 60 years for any of us, many have already left this world way before that age.

May Allah give us the ability to make use of our life before death and our youth before old age, Ameen.

Wasalam

Tale Of 3 Questions

A certain Sultan owned everything a man could wish for, and still he did not know the purpose of life. The answer to three questions made his life difficult: 1. What should I do? 2. With whom should I do the things God asks me to do? 3. When should I do it?

The Sultan asked the advice of all kinds of wise people, but without a satisfactory answer. Then he was told that there was a Chishti dervish who lived far away, and who might give him an answer. The Sultan immediately left to find him, and after a journey of several weeks he came upon the dervish, who was cultivating his own land.

He was a simple man, but no simpleton, as he was reciting a Persian quatrain over and over again : Kaarist waraai ‘elm raw aanraa baash Dar bande gohar mabaash raw kaan raa baash Del hast maqaame gaah begozaar o biaa Jaan manzele aakherast raw jaan raa baash. There is a work beyond knowledge, realise that, go! Do not work to get jewels, be the mine, go! The heart is a temporary abode, leave it and come! The soul is the final abode, realise that, go!

The Sultan was not interested in Persian poems, however, and asked his three questions of the dervish. The dervish did not answer him, but continued with his work. The Sultan became angry and said: “Don’t you know who I am? I am the Sultan of Sultans!” But this did not make any impression on the dervish, who continued doing what he was doing.

Suddenly, a wounded man appeared from the forest, looking as if he were attacked by a wild animal. He dropped to the ground in front of the dervish. The dervish said to the Sultan: “Help me to carry this man to my place!” “I’ll help you,” the Sultan said, “but will you answer my questions afterwards?” “Later!” the dervish said, and so together they brought the wounded man to the hut of the dervish and took care of him. “And now I’d like to receive the answers to my questions,” the Sultan said. “You can return to your palace,” the dervish said, “because you have already received the answers to your questions. As to what to do, you should do what comes to you on your path. As to with whom you should do it, the answer is with those who are present. And as for the when to do it, you should do it the moment it takes place.”

10 Reasons To Smile

1. Smiling makes us attractive
We are drawn to people who smile. There is an attraction factor. We want to know a smiling person and figure out what is so good. Frowns, scowls and grimaces all push people away ,but a smile draws them in.

2.Smiling changes our mood
Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. There's a good chance you mood will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood.

3. Smiling is Contagious
When someone is smiling they lighten up the room, change the moods of others, and make things happier. A smiling person brings happiness with them. Smile lots and you will draw people to you.

4. Smiling Relieves Stress
Stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile. The stress should be reduced and you'll be better able to take action.

5. Smiling Boosts Your Immune System
Smiling helps the immune system to work better. When you smile, immune function improves possibly because you are more relaxed. revent the flu and colds by smiling.

6. Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure
When you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Give it a try if you have a blood pressure monitor at home.
Sit for a few minutes, take a reading. Then smile for a minute and take another reading while still smiling. Do you notice a difference?

7. Smiling Releases Endorphins, Natural Pain Killers and Serotonin
Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin. Together these three make us feel good. Smiling is a natural drug.

8. Smiling Lifts the Face and Makes You Look Younger
The muscles we use to smile lift the face, making a person appear younger. Don't go for a face lift, just try smiling your way through the day!you'll look younger and feel better.

9. Smiling Makes You Seem Successful
Smiling people appear more confident, are more likely to be promoted, and more likely to be approached. Put on a smile at meetings and appointments and people will react to you differently.

10. Smiling Helps You Stay Positive
Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It's hard. When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a message that "Life is Good!" Stay away from depression, stress and worry by smiling.

See Grandpa, it's useless!!
.::the beauty of Quraan::.

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quraan. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked,

"Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?"

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied,

"Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water."

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said,

"You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water, I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breathe, he said, "See Grandpa, it's useless!"

"So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

"Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives."
