I have a hard time watching them... but there have been remakes I have enjoyed.
(I'm looking forward to the Korean remake of Hana Yori Dango)

I hate Filipino Remakes.!!!

Why do we have to keep on making those remakes!!!
They don't even stick to the story!!!
They keep on ruining every good dramas that are out there!!!

If they want to keep on making those remakes they might at least have some sense to stick to the story and not make it all corny!!! And they don't have to make it long!!! If its 10 episodes originally then they have to leave it like that!!

I'll stop it here. I still have a lot to say but I'll just keep it to myself.

they are not doing it right
they should keep what makes
the original drama good (like a episode limit and good characters)
but instead they just keep the bad things about fdramas
and try to hide in the name of a good drama

Why do we have to hate Fremakes?
We are not the only one (1) making remakes...
it is all over... we should at least up lift our own...
we have a lot of good and beautiful actors and actress
and also we have a good production houses that can
cater good remakes..e.g. GMA7 & ABS/CBN 2...

ummm... I don't think that the philippines is the only country that is guilty of not being "original". American Idol was actually taken from the UK. While I prefer the originals I have learn to not be so judgmental of remakes. Some are actually good while some are horrible. Its all a matter of your opinion.

Filipino remakes are a disservice not only to those involved in the originals, but to the Filipinos as well. I watched a bit of the Philippine remake of My Name Is Kim Sam Soon. I cannot stress how much of a disappointment it was. I can understand the lower production value, and even the localization of the tone and cast of the drama, but not the substandard acting and the altered plot. It's amazing how a plot can be changed so much and still presume to call itself a remake.

If anyone is going to remake anything it had better be better than the original, or at least be a faithful adapation. Otherwise, do not presume to promote it like and ride on the coattails of the original.

I feel sad that the Philippines falls behind it's Asian neighbors in terms of the drama industry. We can are already falling behind on other things but I believe we do not lack for creativity and imagination. I wait for the day when our Asian neighbors, or even the world, would start going crazy over Filipino dramas and idols.
