BUT! I also don't agree with people who feel so guilty that they will do anything to make up for past racism on the part of their ancestors, especially as regards to putting an incompetent person in political office. (Not that I am making a hit at anyone in particular - this is a general statement.)

I never even knew what racism is until I was in 10th grade and read about it on the internet . and since I opened my eyes to this world there was never any discrimination between people of different colors in my society ! In conclusion ( why should other skin colors bother people ? isn't it all in the genes inherited from parents to children ? isn't it the same as someone's features ( eyes, nose, face, hand ...etc ) ? so if people who have different colors should be discriminated ? then even fat people from thin, ugly from beautiful, blue eyes from black ones, guys from girls , blond from brunette )
so I believe who ever is a racist to skin color is a hypocritical person and I am strongly against racism in whatever forum it comes

It's been an issue for a long time, and I agree with most people, racism is not necessary.

Speaking of racism, a great example of this was the African slavery, even the toilets are divided for'white' and 'black' people. And apparently, 'black' people are not even allowed to sit on buses that time.

i dont really think that skin colour really does matter but we all know it influences us a bit consciously and unconsciously like almost any other thing(since we are human). i kinda find it weird how most people call your race african-american i mean why arent you guys called negroids?is it offensive? i know it sounds like negro(is that offensive? some of my friends find it so..) or is become like a colloquial/slang kinda term.

yes negro is offensive to me! actuallly its offensive 2 us! and we use african american because its a better way to call our selves that! i dont jus say imma black! i use african american!

You no, i dont actually think negro is offensive. I think 'nigger' is offensive but not negro. Im not african-american so i dont call myself it.

Hahah, being kayumanggi/brown is awesome xD

Anyways, there's a myth here in the Philippines
or should I say a town's story about: How God created humans color!
I think this is just from a province here...

The story is about God "baking humans" / (experiment)
when He finished making one, He had put it inside an oven and went too excited to see the results
so He got it from the oven even if it's only a while ago...
and so the 1st humans were white people.

Then He did it again but He have slept while waiting for it to finish so...
it overcooked and became the 2nd humans, the black people.

And for the third time, He baked again a new one and He was eager now to succeed
and so He waited patiently and then He came up with brown people...
the perfect color for bread! LOL

So that's how the story ends...

*sigh* , well. based on the skintone of some filipino's, most ppl concider us 'non-asians' only because some of us are of darker skin.
I myself, a filipino have lighter skin.
